Cast Biographies Abby Johnson, 14 Ensemble Abby is a homeschooled 8th grader and is excited to be in her 9th show (2nd at CYT). She enjoys playing piano, singing, and acting. She would like to thank Jesus and her family for this opportunity to perform for the glory of God. She hopes you enjoy the show!! Colossians 3:23

Adam Bishop, 14 Ensemble My name is Adam and I can’t wait for my first performance with CYT! I love to sing and play guitar, and joining CYT has been super fun so far.

Addison Randolph, 10 Young Fiona, Baby Bear Addison just completed Tuck Everlasting as Toad & Ensemble with CYT Dallas and has also enjoyed many productions with a Tour Group for the last four years. She has enjoyed sharing her voice and love for theatre since PreK at Liberty Christian School. She also enjoys riding 4-wheelers and time at the lake with her four brothers and loves all things design & fashion. Addison would like to thank her parents for always encouraging her. Romans 8:37

Ainsley Morrison, 15 Wicked Witch, Ensemble This is Ainsley’s 5th production at CYT and her 8th year in theatre. Ainsley volunteers at The Well Church in Argyle as a 4th/5th Grade Small Group Helper. In her free time, she likes to read, play with her cat, create art, and play video games.

Alexa J. Blasingame, 12 Little Red Riding Hood, Ensemble Alexa loves CYT. These are her people and the stage is her happy place.

She is in the 6th grade and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Rocco.

Cast Biographies Aleya Gaines, 13 Ensemble Aleya has been a part of CYT for two years, but Shrek the Musical is her first production with CYT. She has also performed in plays and dramas at school and church. She loves to skateboard, read, and drink coffee with her friends.

Ali Paraskevopoulos, 16 Mama Bear, Ensemble Ali is exited to take part In her first show at CYT. She has been performing since she was two when she performed her first dance routine at recital.

Since then, she has been involved in numerous shows ranging from Rapunzel to Les Miserable. She hopes you enjoy the show.

Andrew Buchanan, 17 Bishop, Ensemble Andrew is 17 years old and a junior in high school. Shrek is his 8th CYT show performance--he loves being on stage! Andrew also loves hamburgers, video games, anime, writing & drawing, and his dog (Kirby). He’d like to thank his family, all of the CYT directors, and CYT friends for their support and love. Annabelle Fait, 15 Ensemble Annabelle is so excited to be performing in her 7th CYT show, her first one with CYT Dallas. She is a sophomore in high school and has been dancing since the age of one. Annabelle found her love of theater a few years ago and is so grateful for the opportunity to perform again. Proverbs 3:5-6

Anthony Henao, 14 Peter Pan, Thelonius, Ensemble Anthony is an 8th grader at Forestwood Middle School. This is his 7th production with CYT. He has enjoyed every show and has created unforgettable memories along the way. Anthony loves gaming, drawing, and hanging out with friends.

Cast Biographies Arabella Alft, 8 Emsemble This is Arabella’s first show with CYT and she could not be more excited!

She has been watching her big brother, Jae, perform with CYT for the last four years and it’s finally her turn! Arabella loves reading and building her own worlds with Legos and playing with her little sister and dogs. She has been taking classes with CYT for the last two years and is so excited to finally be a part of the big show!

Ashley Tone, 19 Little Pig, Blind Mouse, Ensemble Ashley is a freshman at Collin College and is so excited to be doing her 19th, and final, show with CYT. She can’t wait to share the stage with her wonderful siblings, Kahlie and Elijah. Her favorite role was Belle in Beauty and the Beast. When she is not on stage, Ashley enjoys reading, writing, and doing voiceovers on various YouTube channels.

Audrey Wilson, 11 Ensemble Audrey is a 6th grader at Forestwood Middle School. Shrek is her 8th CYT production. She loves her CYT friends, and her favorite thing about theater is making new friends every show.

Ava Pfeil, 12 Ensemble Ava is a 6th grader at Blalack Middle School in Carrollton. While not at school or rehearsal, Ava enjoys reading or painting in her free time, or even hanging out with friends at the park. So far, Ava has been in 5 CYT shows, and is excited for you to see her 6th one: Shrek!

Avery Goodwin, 11 Ensemble Avery is thrilled to be performing in her 5th CYT Dallas production. She previously performed in Lion King Jr., Junie B. Jones, Cinderella, and Tuck Everlasting. She absolutely loves performing with her CYT family and hopes you enjoy the show! Psalm 37:4-6

Cast Biographies Casen Jordan, 13 Captain, Ensemble This is Casen’s 10th show with CYT! He is so thankful for all of the friendships he’s made over the years he’s been involved in CYT! Performing on stage is his favorite thing to do! When he’s not performing, you can find Casen writing novels, creating art of all kinds, playing video games, or Geocaching.

Catherine Smith, 11 Ensemble Catherine is so excited to be back with her CYT family. This is her third season with CYT. Her favorite shows were Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and the almost show Matilda. She is 11 years old and attends Founders Classical Academy in Flower Mound. Off the stage, she tumbles, rollerblades, and is in Girl Scouts. Catherine hopes you enjoy the show.

Clarity Carman, 13 Ensemble Hello! My name is Clarity and it is such an honor to be working with CYT. CYT is a place that I can go where I don’t have to worry what other people think of me and I can just let loose. It also has given me a stronger connection with God, and for that I owe CYT ALOT! I love it so much and I hope that you will to.

Daniel Dunning, 15 Big Bad Wolf, Ensemble Daniel is the youngest child in a family of seven. He has acted in multiple school musicals such as Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and the Beast, and Peter Pan. He loves to sing and play the guitar. He is the electric guitarist for worship at his church.

Daniel Ivey, 13 Ensemble Daniel Ivey is turning 14 this year. He has been performing since he was little.

He has 5+ years of experience doing all sorts of shows and musicals. One of his first shows was The Little Mermaid. Over the years he has made many friends through acting, singing, and dancing, and more.

Cast Biographies Elana Ebensberger, 17 Queen Lillian, Humpty Dumpty, Ensemble Elana Ebensberger has spent the last three years of her life at CYT and has loved every minute of it. When not at CYT, you may find her dancing at ATTD, leading worship at IBC, teaching dance to kiddos, or aggressively studying for her tests. She thanks God for the opportunities she has been given and thanks the directing team for all they have done in her life.

Elijah Gaske, 8 Ensemble Elijah is 8 years old and a 2nd grader at Bethany Elementary School. He is so excited to performing in his very first CYT show with his sisters Ashley and Kahlie. When not on stage, Elijah enjoys watching YouTube, playing basketball, and making crafts.

Emme Allen, 13 Ensemble Emersyn loves to perform and is so excited to be a part of CYT’s production of Shrek the Musical! While this will be Emme’s first CYT production, she has performed ensemble roles in Harvest Christian Academy’s productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie (Cafe Society girl) and Beauty and the Beast (Pepper shaker), as well as other school and church performances. Emme serves on HCA’s Middle School praise team and loves to lead her classmates in worship of our Lord and Savior.

Faith Betts, 15 Gingy/Sugar Plum Fairy, Teen Fiona, Ensemble

Faith Betts attends Harvest Christian Academy. This is Faith’s 6th show with CYT Dallas and 11th stage production. Some of her previous roles include Junie in Junie B. Jones, Alice in Matilda, Timon in Lion King, and ensemble for Tuck Everlasting. At HCA she participated as a Stenog in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Chip in Beauty and the Beast and Michael Darling Jr. in Peter Pan. Faith enjoys singing on the worship team, competition cheer, playing ukulele, juggling (thanks Tim Dolan) and just being a goofball! Faith would like to thank her parents for always supporting her and setting an example to her. She would also like to thank her sisters, Grace and Lily, who are her best friends. Faith Rachaner, 17 Little Pig, Blind Mouse, Ensemble Faith is so excited to be in her 14th CYT show! She is a homeschooled 11th grader who enjoys piano, ukulele, and babysitting. Cast Biographies Foster Carroll, 14 Papa Bear, Ensemble Foster is so excited to be performing in another show! Along with CYT, he loves his school theatre, doing athletics, and laughing with his friends and family. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Gabe Carpenter, 10 Little Orgre, Grumpy Dwarf Gabe has showcased his talents in multiple roles within the community in shows such as The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. His love of life, his heart for others, and his playful spirit are brought center stage when he performs.

Gianna Vyas , 9 Ensemble Gianna is a Villager in Shrek. This is Gianna’s first show with CYT. She has been a part of musical theater since she was 5 years old and has played Molly in the musical Revolting Children, the Narrator in Cinderella, Adelaide in Jack and the Beanstalk, and Thing 1 in Seussical the Musical. Gianna plays the piano, ukulele, and takes voice lessons. She is also a global math champion. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends and enjoys traveling. Gianna would like to thank the CYT Directing Team for this amazing experience.

Grace Betts, 13 Fairy Godmother, Ensemble Grace attends Harvest Christian Academy. Grace is so excited to participate in her 4th CYT show. Her previous roles include Matilda in Matilda the Musical, Chenille in Junie B. Jones, ensemble in Tuck Everlasting, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Beauty and the Beast. Grace is Co-Captain of her cheer squad and enjoys playing volleyball and ukulele. She is thankful to her parents and sisters for always encouraging her. Graham Buchanan, 17 Pied Piper, Ensemble Graham is a 17-year-old junior at Flower Mound High. His favorite things are: video games, pizza, his cat (Genji), horror movies, reading, singing (of course!), outdoor activities--to name a few! Cast Biographies Griffen St. James, 14 Papa Ogre, Ensemble I am an 8th grader at Argyle Middle School, and I love acting, singing, and Jesus. I just moved to town from Houston where I have been in many CYT shows, and I’m excited to be in my first show with CYT Dallas. Enjoy the show!

Hannah Wright, 16 Ensemble Hannah is a sophomore in high school. She loves playing guitar and ukulele, singing in the student choir at her church, baking, and making people laugh.

At her home school enrichment program, she enjoyed taking theater and art, and is excited to join CYT this year and be a part of “Shrek The Musical.”

HannahGrace Bowen, 17 Ensemble HannahGrace is 17 years old and a junior. Shrek is her third show with CYT, and she has enjoyed every minute of it! When not performing, HannahGrace enjoys reading old, fat books and recreationally researching fashion and textiles history, as well as drawing and watercolor painting.

She’ll never turn down a relaxing The Lord of the Rings marathon either! She would like to thank everyone who has supported her in this production and for God’s goodness to her. To God be the glory!

Harper Stakes, 8 Ensemble Harper is performing in her second musical with CYT Dallas, Shrek The Musical. She was recentlly a part of the ensemble in CYT’s Cinderella. A 3rd-grader at Liberty Elementary School, Harper enjoys singing, dancing, art, gymnastics, and playing outside. She would like to thank all of the people attending the show, as without each of you, CYT is not possible!

Hunter Smouse, 13 Pinocchio, Ensemble Shrek will be Hunter’s eighth show with CYT. He is in 7th grade and plays percussion in the band. He loves to read, sing, dance, and play video games. Hunter has enjoyed all the friends he has made through CYT. He wants to live in Australia in a tiny house, with his Labrador Retriever, and work as a veterinarian while traveling the world.

Cast Biographies Isabella Alvarado, 8 Ensemble Hello, I’m Bella! Currently in 3rd grade, you’ll find me in my room practicing my love for singing and playing with my dolls. My favorite food is soup. I want to be a teacher when I grow up. And if I had to be an animal, I’d be a giraffe! I love to be challenged every day with school and enjoy being a role model to my younger brothers. Performance on stage is a dream come true!

Jaeden Alft, 14 King Harold, Mad Hatter, Ensemble Jaeden is so excited to be performing in CYT’s latest musical production, Shrek! He has been with CYT Dallas since its first show, Into the Woods, and can’t imagine a better theater family. Jae is a huge history buff. When he’s not working on a show, he enjoys researching and collecting all things War World I and II and building models with Legos and other odds and ends.

Jaiden Nuako, 17 Princess Fiona Jaiden is a senior attending Plano Senior High School. Offstage, she enjoys yearbook club, singing, and learning Chinese. She’s excited to participate in her 5th CYT show and hopes you enjoy the performance!

Johanna Elise Clark, 11 Ensemble Once upon a time, in a forest far, far away in Northern Idaho on September 6, 2009, at 1:42 p.m. Eastern Time, I was born. From that moment on, I dreamed of being in a play. I love thunderstorms, new adventures, and any day when my dad smiles is a good one. I know three languages and I speak none of them well.

Josh Everest, 16 Donkey Josh caught the acting/musical bug during his first CYT show, Tuck Everlasting. He is a homeschooled sophomore with Classical Conversations and currently sings on the RockPointe youth worship team. Josh also serves with the lower elementary classes at church. From the moment Josh began talking, he has been singing. He absolutely loves CYT, being around people, and pointing others to God.

Cast Biographies Josh Mahoney, 17 Lord Farquaad Josh is currently a NCTC dual-credit senior. He has been involved with CYT for four years and loves the community and atmosphere. Some of Josh’s roles include Horton (Seussical), Pan (Peter Pan), Scarecrow (Wizard of Oz), Beast (Beauty), and Jesse (Tuck Everlasting). When not on stage, you will find him playing guitar or piano and mostly -- creating art. A big thanks go out to all the parents and directors who work so hard to give us this opportunity.

Journey Ratliff, 8 Ensemble Journey is excited to make her debut on the big stage! She has performed in Annie Jr at Harvest Christian Academy and has always loved acting. She loves CYT and can’t wait to be part of the crew!

Kahlie Gaske-Dominguez , 12 Ensemble Kahlie is a 7th grader at Schimelpfenig Middle School in Plano. She has done 12 shows with CYT Dallas. Her favorite role was Tiger Lily in Peter Pan. She also plays competitive soccer and enjoys reading and playing video games when not on stage.

Lacie Long, 14 Ensemble Lacie is excited to help bring you Shrek the Musical. While Lacie has done lots of other shows, this will be her first show with CYT. When she’s not in school, Lacie enjoys singing, dancing, and spending time with her friends.

Cast Biographies Landry Schadle, 12 Shoemaker’s Elf, Ensemble Landry is a 12-year-old homeschooled student. She enjoys traveling, reading, playing the piano and the guitar, as well has being a part of CYT Dallas. Thank you, Mr. Juan, for introducing me to the creative and amazing world of musical theater!

Leah Thornton, 10 Ensemble This will be my third show to participate in. I have been with CYT for almost a year and have made lifelong friends and have really grown. I still live with my parents and my two older brothers in Flower Mound. :-) I also enjoy learning how to play the guitar and piano and playing with my dogs, Maggie and Max.

Lillian Duncan, 13 Dragon, Blind Mouse, White Rabbit, Ensemble Lillian has been a performer and has had a song to sing since birth. CYT is her happy place and she’s forever grateful to have found such an amazing theater family. She loves singing, acting, dancing, and growing and stretching herself. She’s an avid reader and a free spirit. She’s both intelligent and creative, compassionate and bold, and witty and kind. She would like to thank her Mom the most for writing this bio and her dad for his mad tapdancing skills.

Logan Allen, 17 Shrek Logan is thrilled to be a part of CYT’s production of Shrek the Musical!

This is Logan’s second production with CYT and he loves performing with this amazingly talented family of performers. Logan is a senior at Harvest Christian Academy and has been in multiple productions with HCA, including Thoroughly Modern Millie (Jimmy), Beauty and the Beast (Beast), Peter Pan (Hook), The Little Mermaid (Sebastian), and Seussical Jr. (Mr. Mayor). Logan is looking forward to seeing where God leads him as he goes off to college and seeks to use his gifts and talents for the Lord.

Lydia Gesch, 14 Little Pig, Ensemble Lydia began performing with CYT Dallas in its very first show, Into the Woods, Jr., and has been dedicated to her CYT family ever since. Favorite roles include JoJo in Seussical and, most recently, Winnie in Tuck Everlasting.

She also loves to sing, dance, and create comedic bits in the ensemble.

Lydia sings in the Varsity Choir at her middle school and is looking forward to high school next year.

Cast Biographies Lydia Trimble, 12 Ensemble Lydia is excited to be a part of her second CYT Dallas performance! When she’s not singing and dancing around the house, she can be found playing the flute or reading a book in her hammock. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and being outdoors.

Mackenzie Mussell, 11 Ensemble My name is Mackenzie Mussell. I have been in productions at my school as well as drama club. I am now a member of show choir at my school.

Parker Jane Roberts, 8 Ensemble This is Parker Jane’s first show! She has been acting and singing and dancing since she could first talk and walk. Parker Jane is in 3rd grade and is absolutely thrilled to be a part of this show!

Rylee Reisinger, 14 Ensemble This is Rylee’s seventh show with CYT. She loves how much she has learned through CYT. Her favorite roles have been Molly in Annie and Banzai in Lion King. Rylee attends Tidwell Middle School in Roanoke and Milestone Church. Rylee is so thankful for all the opportunities she has received and gives all the glory to God.

Taina Koga, 15 Ugly Duckling, Ensemble Taina has been in CYT for a year and a half and has made many lifelong friendships. This will be her 6th show, and she can’t wait for many more to come!

Directing Team Tyler Hutchinson, Director Tyler has been blessed to be able to travel the US, Canada and South Africa, performing and teaching. After performing and working in community theater, regional theater and local professional theater, he was introduced to CYT. He has been a member of the CYT family since November of 2012; first as a teacher and then Artistic Director for CYT Indianapolis. After serving CYT Indy, Tyler was led to Dallas where he founded CYT Dallas-Fort Worth, Inc. Tyler is also a member of the CYT National Team, working with 20+ branches accross the US helping to develp their programming. He is passionate and dedicated to teaching CYT students to give our talents back to God for His glory!

Kate Gesch, Stage Manager Kate Gesch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management and Musical Theatre from Eastern Michigan University, where she stage managed for the theatre and dance departments.

Her resume includes Studio Manager for Dance Gallery Studio/Peter Sparling Dance Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stage Manager for the Undermain Theatre in Dallas, Texas, and Box Office/Promotions Manager for the Department of Dance and Theatre at University of North Texas. Since joining CYT Dallas in 2016, Kate has served as Managing Director, Stage Manager, Teaching Artist and Camp Director. She directed the MainStage show Alice: A Wonder-full New Musical.

Amber Holden, Musical Director Amber Holden, a native of Arkansas, is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. Holding a Bachelor of Music Education degree, she has taught Vocal Music at the Jr. and High School levels for nineteen years. Amber’s choirs have performed in Branson, MO, as show openers for The Twelve Irish Tenors, The Haygoods and SIX and in Dallas, TX, at “Celebration of the Arts”. UIL competitions have always been a top priority to this director and her choirs have consistently received superior ratings in both performance and sightreading. She has been recognized as the Jr. High Director of the Year for five years and was chosen as the 2016 Sherwood “Educator of the Year”, in Sherwood, Arkansas, has been a presenter at professional conferences and is an active adjudicator at Arkansas Choral Performance Assessments. She resides in Frisco with her husband of seventeen years, David. They have two children, Jackson (15), Elaina (11), a couple of Schnauzers, two cats, (one named Gingy!). Amber is active in her church, Victory Life Church of Corinth, as the adult choir director and praise singer. This is her second show with CYT and she has loved every minute of it!

Directing Team Elise Dolan, Choreographer Elise Dolan is originally from Rockford, Illinois. She has trained in various types of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Modern. Prior to moving to Dallas, she danced at Steps to Grace Dance Academy and performed with their ensemble team for 7 years. Elise was involved with CYT Rockford and performed in musicals at her high school and a community theater. She trained and toured the country with Ingredients Dance Company from 2010-2012. She has also taught dance for 6 years at A Time to Dance Studio in Hickory Creek, TX. Elise has been with CYT Dallas since the start and has loved every minute of it! She is always thrilled to get the chance to instruct others on how to grow in their movement and stage presence and to help them learn what God has called them to do with their gifts and talents. And most importantly how to worship God in everything they do! She loves being a part of the CYT family and is excited to continue to watch it grow!

Tasha Betts, Assstant Director Tasha is from Fort Worth, TX where she lives with her husband Kyle and three kids, Faith, Grace, and Lily. This is Tasha’s 6th production with CYT and you can typically find her backstage adding sparkle to the student’s faces and assisting with the make-up team. She loves the opportunity to share her passion with students and help them grow in their walk with the Lord. She has previously stage managed, directed, and assisted with various local school theatre programs. It has been her pleasure to mentor students, and teach character development, audition, and improv workshops. She is an active volunteer with the Harvest Christian Academy Fine Arts Department and Events team where they also indulge her love for glitter and design. Tasha loves to sing and has been blessed to lead worship for her church and to travel and perform with other artists. She would like to thank her selfless husband, Kyle who had the task of babysitting the Lily goat, so that our girls, Faith and Grace can pursue their passion.
