A NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR I grew up watching The Music Man and am very familiar with the story. However, when I was preparing for this show, I saw some things in a new light, namely, how drastically Harold, Marian, and the entire town change throughout the story.

When we first meet the people of River City, they are stuck in their ways. They are stubborn and contrary. They are stuck in their uptightness and prejudice. They have the same routine.

They also are stuck in their relationships. They do not take the time to look beyond what they know and get to know those who are different from them.

When Harold comes, he obviously comes with the wrong intentions. Intentions to con those in the town. To just come for what he needs and then leave them hanging. But even though his intentions were selfish, through his con he inadvertently ended up changing the town for good. He gave them something to look forward to, a way to connect. He helped them see one another in a new light. He sought out those who were “outcasts” or written off and included them and gave them purpose. And as he got to know the town and saw them grow and change, he was changed as well.

The verse that came to mind when thinking of this show is John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Though Harold initially came to steal from the town, he actually ended up giving them a new life and he in turn got a new life as well. Yes he “falls in love,” but I think when Marian reveals that she knew he was a fake even before falling for him, it changes something in him. For the first time he feels like he doesn’t have to put on an act, that he’s accepted for who he is, that he could change his ways. By the end of the show the whole town is living their life to the fullest, even coming together to defend this man that came to hurt them, but ended up giving them new life and connecting them with new people around them.

It has been an honor to direct another show and I am excited that it got to be The Music Man. This show is an old classic that I, and I know so many others, have grown up loving and watching throughout the years. You can’t help but sing and dance to some of the timeless and classic songs that it has. It was also so fun having it as a CCT show and getting to watch families have a fun time on stage together. The Music Man has been one that I have been waiting to do as a CCT and I am excited to see it come to life on stage.

So thank you to my husband and the directing team that has supported me through this process and helped me in so many ways. This show could not have happened without any of you guys! And thank you to the amazing cast for coming on this journey with me. I hope that you made new connections throughout this show – I know I did. And I would challenge you to continue to step out of your normal routine and look for new connections in your daily life!

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Abbie Lansdell, 15 River Citizen Ensemble This is Abbie’s 9th CYT show. She is a sophomore at Flower Mound High School and is very excited to be a part of CYT this season. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, and working on craft projects. Most of all she enjoys giving all the glory to God!!

Abraham Prado Marcellus Washburn Abraham is excited to be a part of CYT Dallas’ production of The Music Man. This will be Abraham’s 6th production in all and his 2nd production with CYT Dallas . Abraham would like to thank his Savior Jesus for being his foundation, his family and friends for their support and love and of course, his wife Shaelee who is the greatest blessing God could ever give him.

Adam Bishop, 16 Salesman #3, River City Teens Hey I’m Adam and I’m 16 years old, actually I think I’ll be 17 by the time we do the show- anyway... I love this CYT community more than anything, I have loved being in Shrek, School of Rock, and Godspell with CYT in the past, and I can’t wait for this new season with these amazing people.

Addison Fippinger , 13 River City Teens Hey! I’m 13 years old and Music Man with be my sixth show with CYT Dallas!

This is my first time being apart of a CCT show and I am so excited! Enjoy the show :)

Adelaide Varnell, 10 River Citizen Ensemble Adelaide is excited to be in her 2nd show with CYT. And very excited that her brother is joining her this time. When she is not singing and dancing, she enjoys being with her dogs, being outside, and seeing her friends.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Aleya Gaines, 15 Ladies Auxiliary Committee This is Aleya’s 7th CYT show, and she is beyond excited to perform this show with her dad!

Amanda Smith Marian Paroo Amanda is thrilled for this unique opportunity to be a part of this production of The Music Man and, especially, to join her family on stage!

Although there are many dance routines and musical numbers in her distant past, this is her first CYT production. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has enjoyed taking part in it!

Andrew Buchanan Oliver Hix After having recently graduated from CYT as a student, Andrew is thrilled to be back to join the cast of Music Man! He is currently engrossed in voiceacting and pursuing a major in college in criminal justice. Andrew wishes to thank CYT for this opportunity and plans to audition for CYT community shows as long as they’ll have him!

Ansley Dockins, 10 Amaryllis Ansley is excited to be part of her 2nd musical with CYT. In her free time, she likes to sing, write songs for her ukulele, and play with her dogs, Ava and Mabel. CYT is her happy place, and Ansley enjoys spending time with her friends there.

Anthony Henao, 16 Salesman #5, River City Teens Anthony Henao is thrilled to be involved in another CYT Dallas production.

Recently, he played the role of Dewey Davenport in “Last Round-Up of the Guacamole Queens” at Flower Mound High School, where he currently attends as a Junior. Anthony loves to create new ideas and artworks in his free time.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Arabella Alft, 10 Iowan Ensemble This is Arabella’s 8th show with CYT Dallas and she is both excited and annoyed to be performing alongside her little sister. When Arabella is not memorizing lines or songs, she’s playing bass in her band The Metallic Monkeys, building Lego worlds, skateboarding or riding her bike around the neighborhood with the local bike gang.

Atlee Stakes, 13 River City Teens Hi! Thanks for coming to the show! This is Atlee’s 15th show with CYT Dallas! Outside of theatre, she loves to read, write, bake, and craft. She also loves to hang out with her sister and 2 dogs. Atlee would like to thank the directing team for all their hard work on making Music Man possible!

Avery Goodwin, 13 River City Teens I am so excited to be performing in my 12th production with CYT! Brennan Brock Newspaper Reader #1, River Citizen Ensemble Greetings and salutations, I’m an actor, director, author, and CYT alumni.

This is my 5th production with CYT Dallas. I teach classes and direct shows at Arrow Christian Academy and New Song School of the Arts. I’m addicted to Jesus, spicy food, TTRPG’s, and the 80’s (I was born in the wrong century). If there are any famous actors in the audience, please hire me.

Brielle Gann, 13 River City Teens This is my 3rd show at CYT and I’m very excited. I’m an 8th grader at McKamy Middle School. Some of my favorite activities are track, cross country, camping, choir, and CYT of course. I love animals and have three unique pets, an Irish Setter named Luah, an American Eskimo named Essie, and a Parrotlet named Poco. Enjoy the Show!

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Brooke Rosenberry, 16 River Citizen Ensemble Hey y’all! It’s Brooke, Just your normal Junior just trying to get through high school. This is my first CCT show and I AM SO EXCITED!!!! A huge thank you the entire directing team for not only being the best role models ever, but also for just being really cool. I would also like to thank Chris from Chipotle who still remembers to add extra guacamole. Thank y’all so much and enjoy the show!

Brynn Raney, 12 Historic Society Girl, Iowan Ensemble Hi! I’m Brynn! This is my second CYT show; however, I have performed in 7 other productions in the area. My favorite roles include Willy Wonka (Willy Wonka Jr.), Cat in the Hat (Seussical Jr.), and Sheldon (Finding Nemo Jr.). Caitlin Hines Maud Dunlop Caitlin often rocked her babies to sleep while singing “Goodnight My Someone,” so performing in The Music Man alongside one of those babies (now age nine!) is truly a dream come true. When she’s not homeschooling her children or vacuuming her German Shepherd’s hair, Caitlin has always enjoyed singing and dancing around the house. Now she gets to do that on a stage!

Caitlyn Wright, 15 River Citizen Ensemble Caitlyn cannot wait to be a part of her fifth CYT Dallas production! She is in tenth grade, plays piano, and sings in her church high school choir. She loves to spend time with her friends and family, and also hang out with her crazy dog and cat. Her other favorite pastimes are reading, crocheting, as well as a little dabbling in knitting. Camden Beck, 8 River Citizen Ensemble Camden is excited to be able to participate in his first major CYT production after he performed in his first CYT Summer Stock show, Finding Nemo, Jr., where he was in the sea chorus. He is in the second grade at Forest Vista Elementary. In his free time, he loves to swim, play Roblox and Minecraft, and sing and dance while listening to music.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Caroline Sims, 14 River City Teens This is Caroline’s fourth show with CYT. She is in the eighth grade (and she appreciates your prayers). She enjoys reading, reading, and also, reading. When she is not reading, she is playing guitar, dancing, riding her skateboard or learning to sing. She hopes that you enjoy the show, and also… she encourages you to read.

Chase Cantrell, 9 Winthrop Paroo Chase has so much fun with productions for any part he plays! He enjoys having time with his fellow cast members. He has been in School of Rock, Willy Wonka, and Finding Nemo (summer camp program). Chase also enjoys football and basketball, but overall he wants to be an actor. He has a heart for God and is a shining light wherever he goes.

Corinne Matthews, 13 River Citizen Ensemble Corinne is an avid reader, budding pianist and is in 5th grader at Founders Academy of Lewisville. After years of directing and starring in productions in her living room, she is thrilled to be in her first CYT production with her sister. Corinne sends love and appreciation to all of her supportive friends and family.

Daniel Dunning, 18 Salesman #1, River Citizen Ensemble Dan is a senior at HCA. He’s been doing theater for awhile. He’s a pretty okay guy, highly recommend you get to know him. He would really appreciate it if you’d enjoy the show.

Daniel Ivey, 16 Tommy Djilas Daniel Ivey has been working in shows since he was 9. He has a passion for working in these types of productions. He has made many friends and is excited for the rest of the 23-24 season! His other hobbies include cooking and working out. Eventually he hope to have a future in either ministry or filmmaking.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Denver Queen, 12 River Citizen Ensemble Denver is an artist through and through. She was born with a creative mind who sees the beauty in this world through drawing, singing, and dancing.

Diana Henao River Citizen Ensemble Diana is very excited to be performing in her 3rd CCT musical. She enjoys being a part of the CYT Dallas family and appreciates all the wonderful memories she’s created with them throughout the years. During her spare time she plays indoor soccer and loves traveling the world with her family and friends. She would like to thank her family, especially her husband Luis, for their encouragement and support!

Dustin Gaines Constable Locke This is Dustin’s first—and probably only—musical. Most of the time he is an attorney helping churches and schools, and he looks forward to getting back to this work after his retirement from the stage. He is thankful for the great memories of preparing for Music Man with his daughter, Aleya.

Elizabeth Johnson, 12 River Citizen Ensemble Elizabeth is 12 years old and loves theater! This is her 5th performance with CYT. After seeing the Music Man in New York with Hugh Jackman, she knew she wanted to be part of this show! She is in the 6th grade at McKamy Middle School. She also loves to read and spend time with her friends and family.

Emma Ivey, 11 Iowan Ensemble Hello! My name is Emma Ivey and I am so excited for the show. This is my second show at CYT; I was previously in CYT’s Willy Wonka. I have also done 8 shows outside of CYT. If I’m not in a play you can find me playing piano, baking, or doing gymnastics. I hope you enjoy the show!

Emma Rogers, 17 River City Teens Emma is so excited to be a part of The Music Man, her 11th show at CYT! She is a senior at Arrow Christian Academy who enjoys theatre, reading, art, and spending time with friends and family. Emma is so grateful for all that CYT is to her and can’t imagine her life without it!

Ethan Armstrong, 13 Newspaper Reader #3 , River City Teens Hello, I’m Ethan Armstrong, a 14-year-old with an undeniable passion for the Lord, family, and friends. This production marks my 11th endeavor with CYT, a journey that has shaped my love for performance and storytelling. Beyond CYT, you’ll often find me immersed in the world of music—playing the guitar and the piano—as well as enjoying video games and spending time with both my friends friends from school and fellow CYT members.

Faith Rachaner Ethel Toffelmier Faith is so excited to be preforming in her 19th CYT show! Faith is a student at VCLA and she enjoys piano, ukulele, babysitting and working as a hostess. She is so grateful for her amazing CYT family and any opportunity to preform for the glory of God.

Farrah Hartz, 11 River Citizen Ensemble Farrah is a fifth grader at Timber Creek Elementary. She is an active member of the 5th Grade Choir and plays drums and the bass guitar. She has participated in Flower Mound’s School of Rock program and has experience with lead vocals, back up vocals, drums and bass. She loves performing and making music in her times of leisure.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Felicity Matthews, 8 River Citizen Ensemble Felicity loves swimming, dance and playing the piano. She is a 3rd grader at Founders Academy of Lewisville. Felicity once played all but the titular role in a two-woman home production of Alice and Wonderland. She is excited to be in her first CYT production with her sister. Felicity is grateful for all the support from her friends and family. <3

Finley Hines, 9 Iowan Ensemble Finley is thrilled to be making her debut with CYT. She can be seen in commercials for Scheels, JCPenney, the Fort Worth Zoo, Neiman Marcus, and others, but nothing is more exhilarating than live theater! She has always loved performing and she can’t wait to sing and dance on stage with her friends (and her mom!)

Gemma White, 17 River Citizen Ensemble Gemma is a homeschooled senior. She loves the color pink, Sonic, and her cat, Cupcake. She honors Christ by co-leading worship for her church’s student ministries and singing in her church’s student choir. She is learning to play guitar and currently works at a pumpkin patch and an after-school program. She is excited to be a part of her first CYT production!!!

Genevieve Le Leux, 18 River Citizen Ensemble Genevieve is a senior and is beyond honored to be in the Music Man, her long-time favorite show. She has loved theatre since kindergarten, taking various roles onstage and offstage, including costume design and set crew. Genevieve enjoys reading classics, sewing, and watching Jane Austen movies with her dogs Arlo and Daisy. She would like to thank God for His providence and hopes you see Him in this show.

Georgia Alft, 9 Iowan Ensemble This is Georgia’s 4th show with CYT Dallas. It’s almost impossible for her to not sing or at least hum at all times of the day. The Alft home is NEVER quiet!

Ha! When she’s not working on memorizing songs and dances, she’s playing guitar in her band The Metallic Monkeys, putting on fashion runway shows in her living room or riding her bike around the neighborhood with the local bike gang.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Gracie Mae Rehbehn , 12 River Citizen Ensemble Gracie Mae is one of five children in a family that loves her dearly. She loves animals and serving others. Theatre has been instrumental in her personal growth. This little girls loves Jesus and appreciates the integrity behind the creative arts.

Hannah Young, 17 Mrs. Squires Hannah is a funky person who likes the arts. She is definitely a human being and enjoys human activities such as eating and breathing. She has participated in 12 productions with multiple CYT branches and quite a few shows with other various companies comprised of humans. Another very human pastime she loves is reading with her very normal human eyes.

Harper Robinson, 11 River Citizen Ensemble Harper has loved the stage and performing with and for her friends since she knew how to get people’s attention. Learning, rehearsing and performing musical theater brings out a side in her every parent hopes to see one day. She has truly found her people here at CYT and loves all of them. This is Harper’s third show with CYT and hopefully there will be many more.

Harper Stakes, 11 River Citizen Ensemble Hi I’m Harper! Welcome to Music Man! This is my 9th CYT Dallas Production and I have loved every minute of it! When I’m not at CYT I love to play with my dogs, do flips on the trampoline, and swim. I hope you enjoy Music Man!

Heather Brock River Citizen Ensemble Heather Brock has been a homeschooling mom and businesswoman for more than 20 years, before that she did a little singing and dancing. She is thankful to be able to do a little more with CYT! Job 38

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Hunter Smouse, 15 Salesman #2, River City Teens Hunter can’t wait to be apart of his 15th show here at CYT. He enjoys grabbing coffee and vinyl shopping with friends. His favorite past time is crying to Lana Del Rey lyrics and telling everyone about how obsessed he is with Taylor Swift. CYT has been an amazing experience for Hunter and he loves all the friends he’s made through it. #streamTaylorsVersion

Jensen Schmidt, 15 Olin Britt Jensen Schmidt is thrilled to be performing in CYT’s Music Man. He is 15 and attends Arrow Christian Academy. This is his 2nd musical with CYT. He previously performed in Godspell. Jensen enjoyed 4 years performing as lead vocalist and pianist in a Rock band through Ampersand Music School.

He is currently a band member in Living Water, a student lead and inspired worship band.

Jeremy Varnell Ewart Dunlop Jeremy is married to Jill for 17 years, and she is the best thing that happened to him. He is so grateful to CYT/CCT for providing an opportunity for him to perform again. He grew up in theater and loves the stage. And he is ecstatic to join the cast with two of his three kids!

Jessica Wells Eulalie Shinn All the world’s a stage…and for the last decade Jessica played her most treasured roles of mom to Ryleigh and Jeremiah, wife to husband Dan who makes these adventures possible, and curator of experiences in her career.

Jessica is delighted to be a newbie to the CYT stage! This is Jessica’s 2nd appearance with Ryleigh after returning to the stage last year in Theatre Denton’s Beauty and the Beast.

John Brock Mayor Shinn This is what family peer pressure looks like. After many seasons of begging, pleading, and aggressive guilt trips by my family, I yielded to their petitions.

After my last musical performance at Apple Valley Christian School in the 8th grade, I’ve had little time to prepare for my CYT debut. Thank you to my beautiful wife, Heather, and our kids Brennan, Rylan, and Selah for providing me ample opportunities for growth. May the force be with you.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Jordyn Jacobs, 11 Iowan Ensemble This is Jordyn’s third show with CYT. She has loved exploring the theater, meeting new people, and pretty much everything about CYT. She has found a passion for singing, acting, and dancing and hopes to continue to be in many more CYT shows!

Kenna Frucci, 17 River Citizen Ensemble I am excited to perform in my seventh CYT production. When I am not at theater (which is hardly ever), I enjoy being creative and spending time with my family and friends. I am thankful CYT has become such an important part of my life. I hope you and your shipoopi enjoy the show!!

Kennedy Buley, 14 River Citizen Ensemble Kennedy is a 9th grader at Coram Deo Academy. This is her first show at CYT and she is very excited! Kennedy has performed with her school and other acting groups. Outside of acting, Kennedy enjoys singing, playing with her dog, hanging out with her chickens, and spending time with her three younger sisters.

Kinsley Groves, 12 Iowan Ensemble Kinsley is thrilled to be a part of The Music Man with CYT Dallas. Kinsley was part of the cast of The Little Mermaid with CYT Seattle and most recently in Finding Nemo Jr. at CYT Dallas Summer Camp. Besides theatre, Kinsley is passionate about singing and was a top 5 finalist for Maple Valley Idol Jr. in 2021. She would like to thank her parents and voice coach Zan.

Landry Schadle, 14 River City Teens Landry is a homeschooled high school freshman who loves to travel, pet dogs, and read when she is not on stage. She is truly grateful that Mr. Juan introduced her to the amazing world of theater 9 years ago. In addition, she would like to thank the directing team of Music Man for always being awesome! Lilly Smith, 12 River Citizen Ensemble Lilly is excited to join her family on stage as part of The Music Man…one of their family’s favorites! This will be her second CYT production, having previously performed with the cast of Willy Wonka Jr. When she’s not training for the stage with her CYT friends, she can be found training her Australian shepherd puppies, diving into her next favorite book, or tackling all matter of crafty endeavors!

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Lily Grace Becki, 11 River Citizen Ensemble Lily is excited to participate in her 6th CYT production. She is in the 6th grade at Forestwood Middle School. In her free time, she likes to read, swim, play video games, and spend time with family and her puppy. Her favorite show has been Willy Wonka Jr., where she played an Oompa Loompa! Joshua 1:9

Lizzy Teel, 15 Ladies Auxiliary Committee Ever since I was 8, theatre has been a huge part of my life! My favorite part about CYT is the community and environment! Apart from theatre I also like playing the ukulele, video games, reading, and art, both traditional and digital. Shout out to my super supportive friends and family! My favorite verse!! 1 Corinthians 13:4–8

Lucas D. Corral, 10 River Citizen Ensemble Lucas is performing in his first production, and is excited to be in CYT Dallas. From a very young age, Lucas has been fascinated with acting and musicals. He quickly learned to use a typewriter to write scripts and stories because he wants to be a Producer. This is the first of many!

Luke Varnell, 11 River Citizen Ensemble Luke is excited to be performing in his 1st production with CYT. He loves musicals and transformers and Pokemon. He enjoys Boy Scouts and camping, and he is learning how to play the saxophone in band.

Lula Smith, 9 Gracie Shinn This is Lula‘s third show with CYT! She has enjoyed previous roles with the casts of Willy Wonka Jr. and Mary Poppins. Outside of CYT she enjoys reading books and playing with her Australian Shepherd puppies Poppy & Hobbes. Lula also enjoys seeing her friends at Arrow Christian Academy.

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Lydia Gesch , 16 River City Teens Lydia is a junior and varsity choir member at Flower Mound High School.

She loves Little Caesar’s pretzel crust pizza, making people laugh, and, especially, Jesus! Lydia was last seen as a Disciple in Godspell, her 20th production with CYT Dallas. She would like to thank her parents and directors for all that they do for her, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Lydia Trimble, 14 Zaneeta Shinn Hi! I’m Lydia, 14, and this will be my 16th show with CYT! I grew up in Waco, Texas, and participated in shows at CYT Waco. It was not until I moved and became involved with CYT Dallas that I realized what an amazing community involving Jesus could be to me. It is safe to say that my relationship with Jesus has grown a tremendous amount since being in CYT Dallas. Deuteronomy 4:29

Madeline Peugh, 14 River Citizen Ensemble Madeline is 14 and this is her 7th CYT show. She loves all the friends she’s made through CYT. When she’s not redecorating her room, she’s watching movies and hanging out with friends. She is so glad you have come to the show today.

Melissa Sims Mrs. Paroo Melissa is a long time theatre performer, and having played Winthrop Paroo in high school, The Music Man is a show that is near and dear to her heart.

Recent favorite roles include Sandra Bloom in Big Fish, and Patsy Cline in Always, Patsy Cline - but one of her very best roles is mom to her darling girls Rachael, Molly, and Caroline.

Molly Sims, 16 River City Teens Molly is going into her junior year as a homeschooler and is thrilled to be a part of CYT. This is her fourth show with CYT as well as two Gala performances. Along with performing she loves reading, trying to skateboard, and messing around with coffee recipes. She loves this show and everyone who worked so hard to make it, and hopes you love it just as much. Enjoy!

CAST BIOGRAPHIES Nathan Steele, 12 River Citizen Ensemble Performing with CYT fulfills Nathan’s need for constant attention, all the time! He enjoys messing around with his sisters, watching Marvel shows with his dad, and reminding his friends just how much shorter they are than him. Nathan would like to take this opportunity to thank his Mama for the egg sandwiches every morning before tennis practice and the endless loads of laundry. Nathan is excited for Music Man, his 4th show with CYT!

Nicholas Robinson Charlie Cowell Nick exploded onto the scene in 1994 playing Dodger in his Elementary School performance of Oliver!. He has since often reprised the role in his living room for his family. After his phenomenal debut, Nick went on to high school and college where he was distracted by playing soccer. However, Nick is ready to dust off the old pipes and dancing shoes and blow everyone away again. Get ready!

Olivia Fippinger , 10 River Citizen Ensemble This is my 5th show I feel like God chose this place for me because this has been a place I can be myself. This is my first CCT show and it’s so fun working with all these amazing cast members.

Rachael Sims , 18 Alma Hix Rachael is extremely excited to participate in her 7th CYT show! Offstage, she enjoys reading, music, barista-ing, her cats, and her friends. Rebekah Alexander, 17 River Citizen Ensemble Rebekah is excited to once again be apart of another CYT show! She’s been in CYT, since their very first show Into The Woods, where she was a spirit dancer! CAST BIOGRAPHIES Ryan Radosevich , 13 Iowan Ensemble Ryan is a new student at Downing Middle School in the 7th grade. This is his second theatrical adventure, the first playing Kristoff in his middle schools musical, “Frozen.” Ryan has twin sisters, Mila and Gigi, and his favorite family member is Vern, the doodle. Ryan loves to sing and act and plans to be an attorney someday, or just play one on TV.

Ryleigh Wells, 10 Iowan Ensemble Ryleigh is grateful to be a part of the CYT family and making her 2nd appearance on stage! Recently she played Mrs. Gloop in Willly Wonka Jr. where she had a blast and got hooked on CYT. Ryleigh is 10 years old and in 5th grade. Ryleigh is passionate about dance, singing, creating art, and loves spending time with friends and family. There is always a song in the air and a dance in her step when Ryleigh is around!

Samuel Porter, 15 Jacey Squires Samuel Porter is excited to be starting his 2nd year with CYT Dallas. Sam is a huge musical theater kid, performing in shows such as Mary Poppins, School of Rock, and Legally blonde. He is so excited to see how the Lord works and what He does within all the awesome happenings of this show.

Sara Cressman, 12 River Citizen Ensemble Sara Cressman has been fortunate to perform for several years, and theatre is truly her sport. When she’s not performing, she enjoys spending time with friends and family. Sara’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 and she lives it fully every day. Sit back and enjoy watching her light up the stage with her energy and smile.

I have enjoyed the stage since age 10 when I was cast in the ensemble of A Year with Frog and Toad (2015) as a Skunk. I’ve done 10 shows and my favorite roles have been: Snail: Frog and Toad (2019), Admiral Boom: Mary Poppins (2019), and Pumba: Lion King Jr (2021). Enjoy the Show! Joshua 1:9

Taina Koga, 18 River City Teens During my first ever CYT show, I broke a soup bowl on stage… For some reason, they still let me come back…and I’m so grateful they did. Taylor Smith Harold Hill After a 20 year hiatus from musical theatre, Taylor is excited to return to the stage in The Music Man for the second time. His career and passions overlap as a full time missionary, locally and abroad, and he’s excited to be joining his family on stage.

Tone Stakes Train Conductor, River Citizen Ensemble Hello! Welcome to Music Man. This is Tone’s first theatrical appearance and he is excited to participate with his daughters! Before this experience, he toured with Beyoncé and John Legend and wrote songs for Tim McGraw.

Music Man allowed Tone to step out of his role as Dadager and into the spotlight. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Trinity Young, 13 River Citizen Ensemble Trinity is a high energy freshman with a love for the arts. This is her 11th show with CYT, and she hopes to make it to 20 before she graduates! In her free time, Trinity loves to listen to music, drink boba, and hang out with her super awesome very cool older sister.

Ty Njuguna, 13 Iowan Ensemble Hi! My name is Ty. I enjoy acting, art, video games, and hanging out with friends. This is my 4th show and second year at CYT. I love theatre because it gives me a chance to entertain people. Thanks for coming and enjoy the show!

Walker Guidroz, 11 Iowan Ensemble This is Walker’s fourth CYT show. You may have seen him in other roles such as Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, Freddy Hamilton in School of Rock and Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka. When Walker is not acting with his friends at CYT, he enjoys playing the drums, listening to music and learning random facts about pretty much anything.

Yleana Dara, 18 River City Teens Yleana has been with CYT Dallas for 5 years while participating in 11 shows: this being her 12th. She enjoys the company of her friends, chai lattes, and exploring her creative side through her dance account “yleanadaradancer”.

DIRECTING TEAM Elise Dolan, Director & Choreographer Elise Dolan is originally from Rockford, Illinois. She has trained in various types of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Modern. Prior to moving to Dallas, she danced at Steps to Grace Dance Academy and performed with their ensemble team for 7 years. Elise was involved with CYT Rockford and performed in musicals at her high school and a community theater. She trained and toured the country with Ingredients Dance Company from 2010-2012. She has also taught dance for 6 years at A Time to Dance Studio in Hickory Creek, TX. Elise has been with CYT Dallas since the start and has loved every minute of it! She is always thrilled to get the chance to instruct others on how to grow in their movement and stage presence and to help them learn what God has called them to do with their gifts and talents. And most importantly how to worship God in everything they do! She loves being a part of the CYT family and is excited to continue to watch it grow!

Kate Gesch, Stage Manager

Kate Gesch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management and Musical Theatre from Eastern Michigan University, where she stage managed for the theatre and dance departments. Her resume includes Studio Manager for Dance Gallery Studio/ Peter Sparling Dance Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stage Manager for the Undermain Theatre in Dallas, Texas, and Box Office/Promotions Manager for the Department of Dance and Theatre at University of North Texas. Since joining CYT Dallas in 2016, Kate has served as Managing Director, Stage Manager, Teaching Artist and Camp Director. She directed the MainStage show Alice: A Wonder-full New Musical.

Rebekah Williford, Director Rebekah Williford is a Dallas native whose early love for the stage brought her to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in New York City where she graduated as the valedictorian for the class of 2019 with a degree in Film & Television Performance. She began performing from a young age, dancing from age 5 to 18 in a variety of styles: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, & contemporary. In 2016, she attended an acting workshop that lit a match to pursue theatre. By 2017, Rebekah had earned a scholarship to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Since then, she has worked on both film and stage projects. Short films include: “Mr. String”, “The Door”, “Dream Catcher” and “Eve Was Star”. Stage credits include “Towards Zero” with Richardson Theatre Center.

When she isn’t spending time on her own projects, Rebekah is leading and teaching others how to take ownership of the stage. When Rebekah has time off, she can be found next to a pool with a good book or spending time with her

DIRECTING TEAM Amber Holden, Music Director Amber Holden, a native of Arkansas, is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. She has taught Vocal Music at the Jr. and High School levels for nineteen years. Amber’s choirs have performed in Branson, MO, as show openers for The Twelve Irish Tenors, The Haygoods and SIX and in Dallas, TX, at “Celebration of the Arts”. UIL competitions have always been a top priority to this director and her choirs have consistently received superior ratings in both performance and sightreading. She has been recognized as the Jr. High Director of the Year for five years and was chosen as the 2016 Sherwood “Educator of the Year” for the city of Sherwood. Amber has frequently been a presenter for both professional choral conferences and National CYT conferences . She resides in Frisco with her husband of twenty years, David, two children, Jackson (16), Elaina (13), a couple of Schnauzers, a bird, and more cats than she wants to admit.

Amber is on staff at her church, Victory Life Church of Corinth and serves in the music ministry as the adult choir director and a praise singer. This is her seventh show with CYT and has loved every minute!
