NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Welcome to CYT Dallas’ production of James and the Giant Peach JR.!
Roald Dahl’s timeless tale of courage, friendship, and transformation comes alive through the vibrant energy of our young performers. This story reminds us that even in the face of tragedy or uncertainty, hope and community can lead us to incredible adventures. James’ journey—from isolation and fear to belonging and bravery—is one that resonates with people of all ages. It’s a reminder that family can be found in the most unexpected places, and that our past doesn’t define our future.
This cast has poured their hearts into every moment— rehearsing with passion, supporting one another, and growing not only as performers but as people. Through song, movement, and storytelling, they’ve embraced the deeper message of this show: that we are stronger together and that extraordinary things happen when we step into the unknown with faith.
To our incredible production team, volunteers, and parents— thank you for believing in the power of youth theater and for making this experience possible. And to our audience: thank you for being here. Your support helps us continue creating a place where students are encouraged not just to perform, but to grow in confidence, character, and community—on stage and beyond.
Enjoy the show!
