Michele Thrasher, Director
This is Michele’s third production to direct with CYT Dallas and she is so excited for you to see it! She has previously directed Junie B. Jones and Camp Rock. Michele also has taught with CYT Dallas and is currently teaching Studio Classes. She is very passionate about teaching students that you can be a strong Christian and a strong artist. The Lord has uniquely gifted each person and we can use those gifting to glorify Him. She would like to thank her family for supporting her so well through this production. A special shout out to her husband David for really holding down the fort while she was at rehearsal and for loving her and the boys so well. Thank you to her two boys Zeph and Ollie for being her biggest fans and strong support, mommy loves you to pieces. She would also like to thank her parents as well for helping to watch the boys so she could present at tech week. It really takes a village. Nicole Randall, Stage Manager
Nicole Randall holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Harding University. While her primary area of expertise is scenic design, she loves getting involved in theatre in any capacity and is thankful to CYT for welcoming her to stage manage Madagascar Jr.. Her recent design credits include “Cinderella”, “The Crucible”, “The Music Man”, “Charlotte’s Web”, “Always a Bridesmaid”, “The Importance of Being Earnest”, and “ The Marvelous Wonderettes” where she was awarded best lighting and best scenic design of a play from Broadway World Arkansas. She would like to thank CYT staff, Michelle, and Nora for reflecting the love of Christ, and she would also like to thank the students of Madagascar Jr for bringing so much joy to the production process.

Karlee Cummings, Music Director
Karlee Cummings began her musical studies on the piano at age five, and the violin at age eleven. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, a B.A. in Music, and a B.S. in Music Education. She has performed in masterclasses, concerts, and orchestra pits, including with the UConn Symphony Orchestra, UConn Concert Choir, and various chamber ensembles. Karlee has experience leading the Faith Tabernacle Youth Band and Choir, and enjoys serving on the worship team at Victory Life Church. She currently teaches general elementary music at Mount Auburn STEAM Academy.
Rebekah Williford, Choreographer
Rebekah Williford is a Dallas native whose early love for the stage brought her to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in New York City where she graduated as the valedictorian for the class of 2019 with a degree in Film & Television Performance. She began performing from a young age, dancing from age 5 to 18 in a variety of styles: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, & contemporary. In 2016, she attended an acting workshop that lit a match to pursue theatre. By 2017, Rebekah had earned a scholarship to attend the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Since then, she has worked on both film and stage projects. Short films include: “Mr. String”, “The Door”, “Dream Catcher” and “Eve Was Star”. Stage credits include “Towards Zero” with Richardson Theatre Center. When she isn’t spending time on her own projects, Rebekah is leading and teaching others how to take ownership of the stage. When Rebekah has time off, she can be found next to a pool with a good book or spending time with her husband, son, and puppy.
NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
I am so excited for you to see all the hard work we have put into Madagascar Jr. The Lord has really brought together an amazing team to partner along side one another to make this show happen as well as a very talented and really fun cast! What a joy it has been to have the privilege of directing them. Our show verse for this show was Hebrews 10:24-25 which states - “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” The over arching themes for this show were “community” and “contentment”. How can we stir one another up, and encourage one another and create a “team” a “community” was what we discussed and encouraged. Marty thinks she wants to just be in the wild then she will happy but realizes it was her community that really filled her cup and in that community is where she found contentment. As the body of Christ we all bring different skills and abilities just like in a show and when we really encourage and uplift one another we have the opportunity to really do something great. I feel like we have achieved that in this show we have learned how to build one another up and let their achievements shine and be content with who we are and where we are. I could not be more proud of this cast. What a privilege it has been to direct our first Youth Troupe show and get to be apart of this process. CYT Dallas is such a beautiful community that really builds one another up and takes care of each other and I hope you see that reflected in this show. God sent his Son to die for us so we may have eternal life with Him and I am so glad we can give Him glory through utilizing our talents. Please enjoy the show!

Madalyn is a natural performer in the 5th grade and this is her first performance. She is an extremely engaged young lady who has excelled at competition cheerleading, tumbling, gymnastics, student council, safety patrol, and jump rope team. She enjoys traveling and relaxing with mom, dad, brother, and two dogs. She is charismatic, confident, and mature beyond her years. She has developed a strong passion for performing arts and is ready to make her debut.

Hi I’m Selah! I’m so excited to be in this show! When I’m not in theater, I’m usually doing art, playing tennis, or hanging out with my friends and family. I enjoy taking voice lessons and modern dance. I want to thank my family for their support and I hope you enjoy the show!

Swara is 10 years old and very excited to perform in her first musical theatre production. She loves reading, singing and dancing. She has younger brother and they both go to FCA Lewisville.

Taylor Sforza, 12
Foosa Ensemble, Lioness Ensemble, Server Ensemble
Taylor enjoys participating in seventh-grade production theater and playing oboe in the school band. She’s a talented artist who loves to draw and write songs. She has enjoyed CYT camp for many summers and in fifth grade, starred as Peter Pan in her school’s production. This is Taylor’s first year enrolled in class at CYT and her family is excited to watch her shine!

I’m Tinleigh Kogler, 9 years old and I live in Lewisville with my parents, 2 brothers and 2 dogs. I love singing and dancing and being with my family making memories. I love to watch musicals and learn how to sing the songs from them! This is my first year at CYT!

Hey, y’all! It’s Nora Stephens here. I am 13 years old and your Assiistant Stage Manager for the Madagascar, Jr. show! Here at CYT, I spend my time backstage and taking dance classes.
