Directing Team Tyler Hutchinson, Director

Tyler has been blessed to be able to travel the US, Canada and South Africa, performing and teaching. After performing and working in community theater, regional theater and local professional theater, he was introduced to CYT. He has been a member of the CYT family since November of 2012; first as a teacher and then Artistic Director for CYT Indianapolis. After serving CYT Indy, Tyler was led to Dallas where he founded CYT Dallas-Fort Worth, Inc. He is passionate and dedicated to teaching CYT students to give our talents back to God for His glory!

Kate Gesch, Stage Manager

Kate Gesch holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts Management and Musical Theatre from Eastern Michigan University, where she stage managed for the theatre and dance departments. Her resume includes Studio Manager for Dance Gallery Studio/Peter Sparling Dance Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stage Manager for the Undermain Theatre in Dallas, Texas, and Box Office and Promotions Manager for the Department of Dance and Theatre at the University of North Texas. Since joining CYT Dallas in 2016, Kate has served as Managing Director, Production Stage Manager, CYT@Schools Instructor, and Camp Director. She also recently directed the MainStage musical, Alice: A Wonder-full New Musical.

Amber Holden, Musical Director

Amber Holden, a native of Arkansas, is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. Holding a Bachelor of Music Education degree, she has taught Vocal Music at the Jr. and High School levels for nineteen years. Amber’s choirs have performed in Branson, MO, as show openers for The Twelve Irish Tenors, The Haygoods and SIX and in Dallas, TX, at “Celebration of the Arts”. UIL competitions have always been a top priority to this director and her choirs have consistently received superior ratings in both performance and sightreading. She has been recognized as the Jr. High Director of the Year for five years and was chosen as the 2016 Sherwood “Educator of the Year”, in Sherwood, AR. Amber served as Region 2 secretary for 15 years, as secretary/treasurer of the Arkansas Chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association for five years and has ben a presenter professional conferences and is an active adjudicator at Arkansas Choral Performance Assessments. She resides in Frisco with her husband of seventeen years, David, two children, Jackson (14), Elaina (10), a couple of Schnauzers, a cat and a bird. Amber is active in her church, Victory Life Church of Corinth, as the adult/children’s choir director and praise singer. This is her first year working with CYT and has loved every minute!

Elise Dolan, Choreographer

Elise Dolan is originally from Rockford, Illinois. She has trained in various types of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Modern.

Prior to moving to Dallas, she danced at Steps to Grace Dance Academy and performed with their ensemble team for 7 years. Elise was involved with CYT Rockford and performed in musicals at her high school and a community theater. She trained and toured the country with Ingredients Dance Company from 2010-2012.

She has also taught dance for 6 years at A Time to Dance Studio in Hickory Creek, TX. Elise has been with CYT Dallas since the start and has loved every minute of it! She is always thrilled to get the chance to instruct others on how to grow in their movement and stage presence and to help them learn what God has called them to do with their gifts and talents. And most importantly how to worship God in everything they do! She loves being a part of the CYT family and is excited to continue to watch it grow!
