What better way to end the season than with the CySO and the CyYSO joining forces in a fullyfledged symphonic concert that showcases the talents of two highly promising young musicians?

Lucas Demetriou, CyYSO concertmaster, will shine in the dazzling Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Camille Saint-Saëns, whilst Petros Chimonides, CyYSO principal percussionist, promises to mesmerize you in Paul Creston’s rhythmically intense Concertino for marimba and orchestra. The concert will close with Gustav Mahler’s 1st Symphony, featuring his individual compositional traits: the depiction of nature, the use of folk elements and huge orchestral forces.
