BEACHSIDE MONTESSORI VILLAGE
The Beachside Drama Department under the direction of Nicole and Abigail Murillo, will be performing selections from Matilda Jr. The Musical. This dedicated group of students who are in grades 4-8, rehearse solely after school hours. They will be performing the full show of Matilda Jr. on April 26th and 27th at 7pm at The Hollywood Performing Arts Center. Please enjoy this performance.

ELEMENTARY MUSIC SHOWCASE ENSEMBLE

CONDUCTOR BIOS
Dr. Sandra Sanchez Adorno is an Assistant Professor of Music Education and Area Coordinator of the Music Education area at Florida International University. A native of Florida, she holds degrees in Music Eeducation from the University of Florida and the University of Miami. Prior to her current appointment, she was a general music teacher in Palm Beach County Schools, Frost Music Reach, and the Stetson University Community School of Music. Dr. Adorno is certified in Orff-Schulwerk, World Music Pedagogy, and Modern Band and continues to present teaching workshops nationally, regionally, and locally. She is the 2025 Florida Music Education Association Florida College Music Educator of the Year.
Daniel Rivera is an elementary general music educator at Hialeah Gardens Elementary, where he takes pride in teaching a diverse student body, including ASD and ELL learners in a Title 1 school. By adopting a culturally responsive approach, he fosters creativity, inclusivity, and a love for music in every classroom. Mr. Rivera earned a Bachelor degree in Music Performance from the New World School of the Arts (2017) and a Master degree in Music Education (2023), combining his musical expertise with forward-thinking teaching strategies. A respected leader in music education, he has served as Secretary and Webmaster for the Dade County Music Educators Association, Secretary and Member Representative for the South Florida Orff Chapter, and Music Will Miami Ambassador, championing collaboration and growth in the field. His accomplishments include conducting the FEMEA Rising Stars event (2023) and leading the 2024 Superintendent’s Honors Orff Ensemble and FEMEA North Regional Orff Ensemble. Having completed World Music Drumming Levels 1 and 2, Orff Levels 1 and 2, and Modern Band 101 and 102, Daniel is equipped with diverse methodologies to inspire both students and fellow educators. Through professional development workshops and mentorship, he remains dedicated to advancing music education with passion, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to equity and excellence.
