Re: End-of-Life: Ellman® Surgitron® Dual RF & Pellevé® RF Generators
This Letter is to communicate End-of- Life for Cynosure’s Ellman Surgitron and Pellevé RF generators. The Surgitron Dual RF 4.0 MHz RF system was first introduced by Ellman International, Inc. in 1999 The Pellevé S5 RF Wrinkle Reduction system was launched in 2009.
Given the amount of time since the launch of the Surgitron and Pellevé generators, coupled with increasing supply-chain challenges, Cynosure has decided to end manufacturing and sales of Surgitron and Pellevé generators.
Part Numbers for the discontinued generators include:
IEC3A-S30/220 Surgitron Dual RF (120 watts)
IEC3A-S30-90/220 Surgitron Dual RF (90 watts)
IEC5P-ST Pellevé Wrinkle Reduction System (120 watts)
Alternative technology: the most recent evolution of our 4-megahertz RF technology was launched in 2018 under the brand TempSure® Surgical (300-watts; PN 105-7027-005) and is an ideal alternative device to meet your former Surgitron and Pellevé needs. Please contact your Cynosure representative for more details.
We are committed to your ongoing success and understand your clinical need to continue using your Surgitron and Pellevé devices. The TempSure Surgical system utilizes most of the same surgical accessories Thus, we will continue selling Ellman accessories (e.g., handpieces, neutral pads, electrodes, forceps, etc )
Surgitron Dual RF and Pellevé RF Generators will be discontinued upon depletion of current inventory, which may occur by the end of Q2 2024.
Warranty and non-warranty service/repair of Surgitron and Pellevé generators will continue.
