Our sophisticated, yet comfortable ambiance offers flexible gathering spaces for all occasions. Our menu draws upon classic American techniques while we look to our region for inspiration. The décor of Blackwall Hitch conveys an upscale look with a handcrafted vibe that is urban chic and modern with a casual, nautical twist. The energy-filled environment has the feel of an old, industrial shipyard with elements of elegance that includes Quartz flooring in the foyer, cedar-wrapped walls, reclaimed and restored tables and chairs, antique elements, and replica Edison lighting.

THE MAIN DINING ROOM

With its eye-catching Edison lighting, beautiful blown glass chandeliers, and authentic nautical vibe, the Main Dining Room offers the perfect semi-private setting for larger events. With space for up to 76 guests for a seated event and up to 85 guests for a cocktail party, the Main Dining Room allows your event designer to create a distinct and memorable space layout that is specifically tailored to your celebration. Use the Wine & Oyster Bar for a buffet meal, for an impressive hors d’oeuvres display, or for a private event bar for the occasion. Use the King’s Table for your most VIP guest seating, for savory or sweet food stations, or for a featured bottled beer and wine station. The options are endless and no two events in this space seem to ever quite be the same. And for even larger groups, let us combine the Main Dining Room with the Gathering Room to offer up to 128 seats for guests.

THE GATHERING ROOM

Separated from the Living Room and the Main Dining Room with glass slider doors for privacy, the Gathering Room is ideal for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate events, and social celebrations of up to 42 people seated and 50 standing. The room features three reclaimed wooden farmhouse tables, crisp white dining chairs, live complimentary floral centerpieces, a wooden hutch to use for displayed food or drink, and painted brick that provides the perfect backdrop for the colorful nautical art displayed on the walls. During the day, great natural daylight beams in through the picture window and at night, the room is illuminated by criss-crossed strands of beautiful Edison lighting.

THE LIVING ROOM

Whether you love this space for its wooden farmhouse dining table, the lovely floral centerpiece, the pair of cozy leather arm chairs, the flatscreen TV, or the floor-length curtains that make this room exceptionally private, The Living Room is the perfect setting for your most intimate events. Seating 8 or fewer guests right on the main level of the restaurant, the Living Room is the ideal location for smaller groups to gather for business or for pleasure.

THE GATHERING & LIVING ROOM COMBINED

When combined, the Gathering Room & Living Room become one of Blackwall Hitch’s largest indoor, first-floor event spaces. Bring up to 50 guests for a seated event, or if you prefer a stand-up cocktail style party, invite up to 65 of your closest friends and family to the festivities.

THE SAILORMAN’S LOUNGE

Comfy couches, soft leather arm chairs, and a “sea” of colorful, nautical décor make the Sailorman’s Lounge the perfect spot to host your group when you’re looking to take in the ambiance and energy of Blackwall Hitch’s main first floor dining room. This welldefined dining room seats up to 30 guests and remains an ideal location for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and corporate events.

THE WINE ROOM

As you walk into The Wine Room, you are immediately drawn to the fifty-two blue glass vintage bottles that were used to create an impressive chandelier that sparkles above the round reclaimed farmhouse table. With tons of great natural light, a pocketdoor for privacy, elegant white dining chairs, and a gorgeous hutch that is perfect for displayed hors d’oeuvres and desserts, this room is perfect for any intimate seated celebrations of up to 10 guests.

THE KING’S TABLE

Perfect for the more casual birthday celebrations, large family dinners, corporate luncheons, and get-togethers of friends, the King’s Table is undoubtedly the most special table in our entire dining room. Ideal for groups of 16 or fewer people, this semi-private event area features a super spacious wooden farmhouse table right in the heart of the restaurant where your guests can really be a part of the exciting atmosphere of our downstairs level.

THE CAPTAIN’S QUARTERS

Located on the second floor of the restaurant, this room is set with one of our largest wooden farmhouse tables. Designed with contemporary nautical style and equipped with complimentary audio visual, this room can be the perfect setting for a corporate business dinner, an intimate wedding reception, or a fun birthday outing. The half glass wall overlooking the main entrance gives an open feel to the room and the windows bring in the charm of the Annapolis downtown area that the space overlooks. The Captain’s Quarters is perfect for seated events of up to 16 and for cocktail style gatherings of up to 20.

THE CROW’S NEST

Overlooking beautiful Downtown Annapolis, the Naval Academy, and Spa Creek, the Crow’s Nest is our highly sought after rooftop deck. During the warmer months, this space is dotted with beautiful bright yellow patio umbrellas and offers comfortable wicker lounge seating, high top tables for large groups, and smaller tables for 2 to 4 guests. Perfect for graduation celebrations, birthday gatherings, and corporate outings, the Crow’s Nest provides the ideal backdrop for up to 80 guests in the spring and summer. During the colder months, you can celebrate your special occasion with your closest friends, family, or colleagues in our custom-built heated rooftop tent which features installed carpeting, piped in restaurant music, interior lighting, an event bar, and 3 large propane heaters with thermostat controls to keep you and your guests toasty on cooler days. Blackwall Hitch’s heated rooftop tent can accommodate up to 60 guests seated and up to 75 guests standing, and has therefore been the setting for countless rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, wedding receptions, and corporate events throughout the years.

THE WINE & OYSTER BAR

Overlooking the working kitchen, the Wine & Oyster Bar is the perfect spot to savor freshly shucked oysters on the half shell with your favorite glass of champagne or wine. This space is perfect for both intimate “Chef’s Table” style seated gatherings for up to 14 people or for those that are excited to reserve a private bar for their event. Up to 20 of your closest friends and family can look forward to a soiree filled with mingling, hors d’oeuvres and dessert service, and a dedicated bartender for the occasion.

FIRST FLOOR MAIN BAR

Blackwall Hitch’s First Floor Main Bar is the heartbeat of the restaurant. Showcasing both local and regional musicians of all genres, live music fills the restaurant Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and during our very popular Sunday Jazz Brunch. Design elements in the bar include a cozy gas fireplace, a large stage for your live musicians or ours, and our iconic Zeppelin quote wall featuring the lyrics from “The Ocean”. For larger cocktail style events of up to 100 guests, chat with us about booking the entire bar, and for smaller gettogethers, we’ll gladly cordon off a dedicated area to ensure that you and your guests have a fun and lively place to gather.

Reserve one of our private rooms for your next special occasion. We can accommodate a variety of events in our beautifully appointed dining rooms. From bridal luncheons to rehearsal dinners to family reunions and graduations, our special events manager will guide you through every step.

Our dedicated staff can create a variety of meal service styles for you. We offer plated services, buffets, and food stations for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. All can be paired with our delicious appetizers and specialty desserts. Then complete your event with a beverage stationed or package for everyone to enjoy.
