Canowindra is worth considering. It’s about a 45 minute relaxed drive each way and there’s enough down there to package in some genuine enjoyment. One suggestion is to visit the Canowindra Trading Post and then after you’ve done that, take in a meal a couple of doors away at Taste Canowindra. Both these have lots to look at and enjoy and the food at Taste Canowindra is a bit different to what you may expect and it’s very pleasant indeed. If having a meal doesn’t appeal to you, there’s also great coffee at both venues and also another quaint coffee shop at Cargo on the way. Of course, there’s more to see at Canowindra so if you do go, have a look around the main area. FEBRUARY 22–28, 2018
