ABOUT CW DESIGN WORKS
CW Design Works is a South Carolina based designbuild firm crafting beautiful, functional residences that encourage a rich engagement with life.
We are inspired by the tapestry of the South - from the food, music, and art to the deep mountain forests and marshy shores. Simple or complex, each project is cultivated from the blend of client collaboration, regional influence, practical consideration, and an earnest belief that great residential design enriches the lives of residents.
With a team of experts in every step of the design build process, we ensure that your vision comes to life, exactly as imagined. We provide integrated design and construction services, design services, feasibility studies, site planning, and landscape coordination for residential new construction, renovations, and additions.

THE DESIGN WORKS PROCESS 02
Our team begins every project with a discovery process, exploring the client’s ideas and the ideas not yet considered.
The knowledge gained in this discovery process informs each design decision as the practical matters of program, site factors, budget, and regional considerations are layered to design a home that tells each client’s unique story.
In our model, the designer is the builder, a single individual leading each project phase from daydreaming to move-in day, through the integrated delivery of architectural and construction services. Each decision about practical matters like lumber orders and electrical layouts is made by a team leader who is accountable to the initial vision for the project.

“Homes are places where memories are made, where you begin each day and rest your head each night. When you’re away, home is the place you are excited to return. A family home is a reflection of your uniqueness and authenticity.
You know it’s home, when the spaces you envisioned; come to life, and consistently evoke the emotions with your family and guests that you had hoped.
There is an art required to create a structure and spaces that gives life to this kind of home. Calvin, your artistry helped us fashion this place into what has become home for us.”

“As the developer of the Acadia community, I have worked with many architects and designers over the past 20 years, and none are better, more creative, more responsive and professional than Calvin Wright and his Design Team. Perhaps more important than mere talent, which he has in spades, is his thoughtful and friendly personality. I consider Calvin a treasured friend.”
-Caleb F.
“Calvin recently completed a contemporary design mountain residence for my wife and I, and his work was thorough and professional.
From the beginning, Calvin was energetic and enthusiastic, demonstrating a deep passion for his work. He was involved in all aspects of the project, from site selection and analysis through construction.
One of Calvin's most commendable qualities is his ability to listen. He took the time to understand our vision and concerns, and made sure that our ideas were appropriately incorporated into the design. Our concerns regarding aging in place, low maintenance and respect for the site were addressed well. This resulted in a home that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also uniquely ours.”
-Jeff A.
