This horse and rider team has been steadily working their way toward this achievement for years, and seeing one of our graduates reach this level brings an incredible sense of pride to our sale. It is a wonderful reminder that our breeders are producing the bloodlines, athleticism and quality capable of taking horses to the top. Of course, no success like this comes without an enormous amount of hard work, dedication and belief from the owner and rider who develop these horses along the way. But the calibre is here — and that is something worth celebrating. Looking at this year’s group, there is no shortage of big dreams among our consignors either. We are seeing some incredibly interesting bloodlines, blending the tried and true with exciting young, up-and-coming stallions and mares. It is that combination of proven foundations and fresh possibilities that keeps our breeding programs, and our sport, moving forward. And as always, there is a little something for everyone. 1) TERMS OF SALE ARE CASH, CHEQUE, E%TRANSFER OR WIRE AND PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 48HRS OF RECEIPT OF INVOICE. The right of property, including physical possession of the horse and registration papers, shall not pass to the buyer until after the settlement is complete. The seller will pay all registration ownership transfer fees, according to Canadian law. 2) The images presented of each horse are believed to be accurate representations of the individual animals and the information presented is provided by the seller and believed to be true and accurate. All horses are sold as is. Right of recourse must be directed to the seller and not to CWHBA or Sale Management. 3) PPE information on each horse is provided to the best of knowledge of the seller and best practice of the attending veterinarian and are believed to be true. The Auction house and Sale Administration make no claims regarding horse health or soundness and assumes no responsibility if the information received is inaccurate. It is the buyers responsibility to do their due diligence by reviewing the information provided. 4) The Canadian Warmblood Auction o&ce will process the transfer of registration papers after settlement is complete. 5) Each horse will be sold to the highest bidder as determined by the auction site at the close of the lot, the decision is !nal. 6) It is to be clearly understood that Canadian Warmblood Auction, Clip My Horse and the Canadian Warmblood Association and staff or contractors of each are only acting as a medium between buyer and seller and are not in any way responsible for any failure of either party to live up to their obligations. Neither do they assume any !nancial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties. Any legal action that may be taken, in exceptional cases, must be between buyer and seller. 7) A sale by auction is complete once the timer has completed for the Lot number. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. 16) Should the buyer fail to comply in any respect with all conditions above, the Sale Management may, at its discretion, pursue any remedy available against the defaulting buyer, including, but not limited to, taking possession of the horse(s) and resale of the horse(s) at public auction or by private treaty for account of the defaulter. “Kind heart” is a 18x20 in framed watercolour original pained by Zoja Makovec. This beautiful artistic rendition of a stallion represents the kidness in everyday life. A kiss from a loved one, perhaps a sweet thought of someone who is dear to you. But most of all that one horse we all loved, our heart horses. Zoja Makovec is a young and aspiring equine artist. When asked about the inspiration behind her paintings she shared that “Animals and nature seem to inspire me since I was young. We had and rescued animals since I could remember. This is how I ended up with my horse Sky.” Her work focuses on capturing the true spirit of the horse, through their eyes, movement and colour. She primarily paints in watercolour and enjoys painting all breeds and colours, and expirementing with colours and flowing energy. Zoja’s passions in life are animals and art, and she is working hard to become a full time artist. 80% of the artwork’s sale proceeds go to the artist, while 20% supports the Canadian Warmblood Alberta Chapter’s Young Breeders Program. 10

*&+&,&CHARMEUR’S pedigree reads like a who’s who of the Holsteiner jumping bloodlines. Two times to COR DE LA BRYER through CORRADO I and COLANDO I, three times to the foundation stallion RAMSES through CAPITAL I and FLORIDA as well as COTTAGE SON and FARANESE and this is just on his sire side. Dam sire HERALDIK is considered by many to be the greatest modern sire of three day event horses, sitting at the top of the WBFSH rankings for 5 years as well as a sire of excellent show jumpers. Rounding o! this potent pedigree is the Hanoverian Olympic Dressage Stallion NEBELHORN and further back the E line from EISENHERTZ and the D line from DUELLANT. The result is a very fertile and pre-potent stallion that passes on his long top line, elastic and light movement as well as tremendous jumping talent. Unfortunately CHARMEUR was injured as a young horse and so could not compete, although he has been trained and ridden sufficiently to confirm his excellent gaits, rideability and willingness. CHARMEUR stamps his foals with an unmistakable quality and infuses his o!spring with exceptional athletic ability.

.&/&0 KOCHEN BEKI is by the Irish Thoroughbred HEATSEEKER. As a racehorse, she was in the top three 17 times in 29 starts. After racing, she went on to eventing where she competed up to the Training (EV100) level before raising foals. Her foals have her wonderful temperament and are wonderful to work with.

Some of his career highlights include winning the Spruce Meadows indoor GP’s 2x, being top placed at Brandon in almost every GP ever entered, a 3rd and 5th at Omaha International, jumping 4 clear rounds at RMSJ in two weeks and being one of the top earning horses at RMSJ in 2013, as well as being in the top 10 in Canada for money earned in 2013. KAJUN’S dam is by PORTLAND L. PORTLAND L, was well known throughout Europe as a successful show jumper and a superior sire. Currently PORTLAND L is enjoying his life as a retired show jumper at Equitop Farm and is a sought after sire. His most famous o!spring is TOUVEKS MARY LOU, ranked #1 in the world in show jumping; this granddaughter of PORTLAND L (MONTENDRO X PINA COLADA) is ridden by Henrik von Eckermann and has been consistent in the very-upper rankings of showjumping for several years in a row. PORTLAND L was licensed as a two year old in Muenster, Germany. As a three year old it was obvious that this stallion would be destined for the higher levels of show jumping. He received the highest possible score of 10 two times by his Test Riders in the Jumping Category at the 100-Day Testing. At the ages of 5 and 6, PORTLAND L won jumping classes of the 1.20m to 1.35m level, therefore qualifying for the German Federal Championships. In 2002, as a 7 yr. old, PORTLAND L gained to his resumé an unbelievable record of 17 wins and placings out of 18 starts at the M and S level (1.30m and 1.45m). His sire PILOT is the idol of the Westphalian breeding program, with countless o!spring competing at the highest level of international show jumping. Recently, a statue of PILOT was erected at the Westphalian headquarters in honor of his contribution. To name a few of his famous o!spring: the international jumpers PIROL, PANAMA, PIALOTTA and Ludger Beerbaum’s P.S.PRIAMOS, as well as the Olympic Gold Medal winner PEDRO.
