Letter from the (new) Editor……

First we have to admit to a misprinted date regarding the Night of Pink Breast Cancer Benefit. We put October 13th on the cover of last months issue when is fact the date should have said October 12th. We do apologize for the mistake.

Second, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of our fearless President, Stan Perret.

Stan resigned his position during September and has left to blaze his own path in life. We will miss him, but wish him well. It seems then that I must take over ownership and operations of the Magazine, which is fine with be me and my staff.

Speaking of staff, I wanted to introduce our team of Business Managers; Leslie Rick and Mayla Carnera, both seasoned business people and great ladies. Also, we welcome back our lead DVa, Devon, who returns to us, well, because she loves us.

This issue is slightly shorter than recent issues, mostly because of issues surrounding the transition and the time constraints affecting the content. We had a lot of things we had to pick up, but all with the intent of continuing the Mag. This Magazine is not going away just yet, we’ll be more than happy to be the bad penny that keeps showing up!

From the ashes of the September fires, we rise as a phoenix, determined to succeed, unencumbered, aggressive, and with renewed purpose. We prepare for 2013, we are looking towards the future, we will give our all to succeed as a team, a business, and a Magazine.

A Club on a Mission...

The stated purpose and mission of the Pharaohs is to provide a social organization for those interested in the promotion and development of Hot Rod, Antique, and Special Interest vehicles in the Portland metropolitan area. But there is so much more to the Pharaohs. Their primary mission is the support of a group named the Missing in America Project. You will probably here a lot of mention of the acronym MIAP by their members when speaking of the clubs passion.

The Missing in America Project was founded in 2007, with the goal to locate, identify, and inter the unclaimed cremated remains of American Veterans from as far back as WW1. Many who have passed without family members, and deserve an honorable burial. The MIAP is working diligently with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, to gain access to lists of these remains, which sit on the shelves of funeral homes, and State hospitals across the country. Once they gain access to the names, they run them against Veteran’s data bases to determine if first they are indeed a Veteran. If so, then the work turns to trying to determine if that Veteran has family that can be notified of the remains.

If no family can be found, then preparation begins for the MIAP and its supporting clubs, and organizations to assist with the arrangements for a proper and honorable internment.

The Pharaohs Street Rodders assisted both financially, and with members in attendance, with the internment of WWII Navy Veterans Betty Beckman, and Solomon Durham at Willamette National Cemetery in 2010. There was no internment in 2011 due to the fact that the MIAP organization was able to locate family for the remains that had been located and identified.

Under the mantra of “Because it’s the right thing to do”, the Pharaohs Street Rodders donated over $2000 to the MIAP in 2011. Funds that came from their successful 2nd Annual Ralph McKee Memorial Cruise-In, and their Endless Summer Cruise-Ins, held at Billy Bob’s each Wednesday evening June through September of 2011.

At this year’s Portland Roadster Show, along with a club display of 19 cars, the Pharaohs also had a club booth, where they took donations for the MIAP, and sold both MIAP patches and Pharaohs T-shirts with an MIAP logo. Pharaoh Keith Preskey, had pledged to match dollar for dollar, all funds that were raised, and the Pharaohs were proud to have sent a check to the MIAP for $400 shortly after the show. They have since sent another $550, which came from the proceeds of a transmission that was donated to the club and subsequently sold, and another donation from a long time supporter of the club.

On September 5th , at their Endless Summer Cruise-In event, the Pharaohs were proud to present a check for $2584 to representatives of the MIAP, which amounted to the entire net proceed of the 3 rd Annual Ralph McKee Memorial Cruise-In which was held on July 28th. Over 22 Veterans that were either Pharaohs members, or entrants in the show, joined Oregon House of Representative Greg Matthews, also a Veteran, for the check presentation. After the presentation, came a promise from Pharaohs Public Relations Director David Jothen, to do even more before year’s end.

So when you attend a Pharaohs event, you can be as honored and proud as the Pharaohs club members. As a large part of your entry fee, raffle ticket purchase, or other contribution, will be going to this great organization. And after all, “It’s the right thing to do.”

The Pharaohs Street Rodders car club is one of the most active and charitable on the car show and cruise-in circuit.

So far this year alone, the Pharaohs have earned over 10 Club Participation Awards at local area car shows and cruise-ins, and were the winners of the Best Club Display Award at this year’s Portland Roadster Show.

A Celebration of Life…and Lifestyle…

Joie de vivre is a French phrase often used in English to express a cheerful enjoyment of life; an exultation of spirit.

Joie de vivre can be ―a joy of conversation, joy of eating, joy of anything and everything, a comprehensive joy, a philosophy of life‖.

Some time ago, an active member of the Portland kink scene decided to host parties at his house; his original intent was to introduce the ―alternative‖ lifestyle of fetishism and BDSM to friends and acquaintances, mostly to show that the mainstream view of that lifestyle was a overly judgmental one, and it could be a safe and fun way to express yourself. Such was the reception, and so overwhelming was the support of the community that the ―house party‖ quickly outgrew the house. With such a great response, he was determined to bring it public, to maintain the positive energy behind the performance, and in essence, give back to the lifestyle and to the community which supports them, and in Winter of 2011 began working with Dreame Scape Theater to bring the private parties into a public venue.

But, they wanted to do something of substance, something that could draw in all types of an audience; those that cater and practice the lifestyle, those who think they might embrace it but are not sure, and those who are just curious and open-minded enough to attend and, well, perhaps expand their horizons just a bit. In May of 2011, the first Night of Kink was held in the Fez Ballroom, followed quickly with another night of exploration in June and July of the same year. October of 2011 saw the events moved to the Bossanova Ballroom, where they have been celebrating ever since; 2012 brought a night of performances in January, March, May, July, and now October.

NoK is a movement, much more than ―an event‖; it has become Portland’s wildest night of exploration and personal expression, a feast for all the senses. Around each corner and in each nook is something new for you to explore; you can dance, play, or sit back and watch some of PDX’s finest performers show off their talent and skills. NoK features a generous variety of play spaces to cater to the experienced player as well as someone curious about exploring the possibilities. For those who want to dance, some of the town's finest DJs heat up the aural atmosphere; Chaach and Mellonhead will be in attendance working their magic. Stage acts throughout the evening feature fire performers, aerialists, contortionists, BDSM and fetish play, rope bondage, suspension, dancers, blockheads, and more. Too often, laypeople associate kink and fetish with black leather, dark rooms, the old ―whips and chains‖ adage; attend the event and you’ll find that there is a side to the lifestyle that brings joy, color, glitter, and a sense of purpose in self-expression. In the end, it’s a plethora of sight, sound, smell, and touch.

Just like there is a dual side to life, there is a dual purpose to this event. Aside from the exploration of the senses, the performance of self, and celebration of an alternative lifestyle, this event will raise funds to be donated to the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation. The Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation's mission is to reduce the number of breast cancer deaths annually by funding vital research and education in the focus areas of triple negative disease and quality end-of-life care. The ultimate goal is to achieve a complete cure for breast cancer through aggressively identifying and supporting the most promising research programs in the United States. The staff at CV NorthWest were granted some ―private‖ time to interview the band, and honor for which we are very thankful. Lady Lightning & Sherry K from Mystic Photography spend some quality time with the boys.

How did you guys get together?

Rich and Frank were in Stuck Mojo in the late 80’s, and have been together since. Rich and Billy grew up in Charlotte, NC. Rich and Paul (boy, Rich gets around!) played together in Adrenaline Mob. Rich & Frank met Chris at WCW in Atlanta – the coming together wasn’t a sudden ―let’s do it‖ kind of thing, it was more like the rolling stone that gathered the moss as it traveled, and here we are today.

How would you describe your musical style?

We’d go with ―Metallica meets Journey‖. <Much grinning around the table> Where did you play your first show?

The Strand in Marietta, GA in the summer of 1999. We were Fozzy then, but of the current lineup only Rich, Frank, & Chris were in that incarnation.

Where would you say the craziest fans are?

Well, the eastern European bloc countries are always crazy, up for a rocking show. Hungary is a place where they bring it as fans. But we’d say that here in the states, mostly blue collar working-class towns are some of the craziest people and best places to play, those folks are ready for a good show, ready to cut loose. We think it’s mostly because in the ―big cities‖ like LA & NYC, you get great gigs all the time, sometimes multiples in a night; in those regular places, big gigs are fewer and far between, so the people appreciate the energy and show much more since it’s not an everyday occurrence. Pocatello, ID, sticks out in our minds.

Where is the coolest place you’ve played so far?

Well, the coolest places to play in general are the big venue shows, huge places with thousands of fans. The energy, the vibe, it’s incredible. We really have to mention the Download festival, where we played with Metallica & Black Sabbath, 25,000 screaming fans in the crowd, that was a major rush.

Who would you say are your most enthusiastic fans?

Portland, OR! (good answer boys!). Or Pocatello, ID. <laughs> Which song really speaks to you guys the most?

That’s like saying ―which child do you like the best‖, but if we had to choose a powerfully personal song, we’d go with the first track on our current album (Sin and Bones), Spider in My Mouth; it’s just fun to play and move to, you really feel the beat and rhythm. Enemy will always have a place in our hearts and our set, it’s our most successful single so far, and one of our pivotal songs that we’ll never exclude from a show – kind of like ―Rock n Roll All Nite‖ by KISS, they always do it, and probably always should.

Whose music and sound most influenced you?

Hands down, Van Halen – the first few VH records spend the most time on our turntable. Wait, the kids know what a turntable is, right?

Where is the most memorable place you’ve played?

Uh, we don’t remember <cue smartass grin here>. We’d have to say the Download Festival, lots of our major moments in recent memory are from there; it was the first show after the new record, and it was the first major show with this final lineup (Paul was the last to join).

What do you hope to accomplish with your music?

We’d be lying if we didn’t admit ―it all about the Benjamins‖. <laughter all around>.

We’d like to change the world with our music, starting with our bank accounts! It’s like this; if you’re successful as a band, you get to keep playing and making a living, if you’re a failure, you have to stop playing and get a job. We are lucky in that we have been successful so far, and we get to continue the ride, we’ve been doing this since we were kids, and even north of 40 we get to keep doing this. It’s the best gig in the world (unless you’re Brad Pitt), and if you’re making it, then you get to focus on the music and not worry about the other stuff. Paul Stanley said it best, ―money allows you to not have to worry about money‖, so in doing that we can focus on what we’re passionate about, which is the music.

What is the message you try to convey with your music?

Have a good time, all the time. It really is that simple with us.

Where did the name Fozzy come from?

We started out as a cover band with the name Fozzy Osbourne (complete with costumes & the shtick) – when we got picked up by a label, copyright laws forced us to change it, and we just kept Fozzy.

How do you want people to remember you when it’s all said and done?

Realize that we haven’t cured cancer, balanced the budget, or anything significant – but what we HAVE done is allow people to escape from their daily lives, from the stress, jobs, mortgage, and the like, and just forget about that stuff for a while, bury their troubles, and have a good time just being in the musical moment. We don’t want to overstate our importance here, and truthfully it’s nice to be recognized, but our simple task is to play music loud and get the audience to say ―YES‖, and enjoy the show. We want to make sure, and we believe that this is the case, that our fans get more value for their dollar than what they paid for the ticket; that their support for us is a worthy thing, and the money is well spend. Look, there isn’t a lot of money in today’s economy, we’re sensitive to that, and we want to recognize their investment in our entertainment and appreciate it. One of the best compliments we’ve received is simply ―hey, you guys obviously have a great time and sincerely enjoy what you’re doing‖. When it comes down to ―Fozzy vs. a movie‖, we clearly want to leave an impression that helps people decide ―I HAVE to go see Fozzy.

The one thing we REALLY want people to know is that on stage, we give 110% of ourselves, personally & professionally, and really hope to leave our fans wanting more.

What are you most proud of to date?

It has to be our new record, Sin and Bones. We believe it’s our best work, the best thing we’ve done top to bottom; it’s our most fully realized album from the standpoint of heart, soul, song fit, our intent and sound, and we believe there are no weak songs on the album. At this point in our existence, everyone in the band is happy with our music, our sound, the lineup of the group, our identity, and our trajectory as a musical act. It’s a comfortable feeling.

And your ultimate goal?

Get rich. Dirty, Rotten, Filthy, Stinking Rich.

We have a 1996 Honda Accord and the defrost doesn't blow at the window. I am told the repair manuals don't cover that. Any ideas on what it might be and how to fix it?

1996 Honda Accord, I did some quick research and looked at the system. There are doors that operate the different air flow directions they are most commonly operated by a direct manual cable or a vacuum servo or an electric motor. This particular system appears to be an electrical motor. If you can find the motor on the heater A/C case under the dash there should be some external linkage that you can see, make sure it is hooked up and that it all moves when you change modes from the dash controls. If the linkage all seem to move as you change modes there may be a more serious internal door problem. If any of linkage does not move there is possibly a problem with the motor inputs. Good luck...

I have a 2002 Neon / 5 Speed Manual / Up until this problem the car was working fine. No loud noises or steering problems. I was accelerating from a stop and turning left. The front wheels spun on some ice then caught on pavement, but only a little, nothing extreme. After moving forward approx 6 feet the front wheels lost power, almost like it popped out of gear. I depressed the clutch and and coasted to the side of the road. I put it into 1st gear and carefully let out the clutch. There was still no power to the front wheels. The tachometer worked like normal. The speedometer moved up a little, approx 10-20kmh. I did hear a very very faint rattling/grinding noise from the direction of the front driver side tire when it was in gear and the clutch was out. With the clutch depressed the noise was not there. With the clutch in I moved the gear shift through all the gears, including reverse, and there was no noise nor unusual feel. A friend told me this might be the CV joint?!

Neon front drive. Your friend may be correct, The drive axles in this car are made with an inner tripod joint and an outer CV style joints the quick explanation of these style joints is the CV is a constant velocity joint in the outer position mostly to allow smooth operation while turning and accelerating the inner tripod is able to slide in and out to allow for the axle to move in and out as the suspension moves up and down. If I were you I would jack the car up put safety stands to hold the car with the tires off the ground look at the axles make sure everything is in place axle supports ect. Look to see if the axle is all the way into the trans-axle. Next I would put the trans in gear and try spinning the front wheels when you spin the tire on one side the other side should turn in the opposite direction. If the tire spins on the other side you can lower one side to the ground and try to possibly isolate the problem side. It is most likely an axle problem. A hint if there is fluid leaking at the trans-axle look closely at that side.

BMW 525i window motor / Is it possible to replace worn out window motors on front windows using functioning window motors from the rear windows? Are these parts interchangeable? Also, if window motors will move the window up and down when assisted with the help of pressure applied by hand does this mean that window motors are still working, and problem can be fixed without having to completely replace window motors?

I do not know if the motors are interchangeable. Even if they were it is a considerable amount of work to disassemble both doors. If you can assist the window and get it up and down you might try cleaning and lubricating the channels. It has been my experience that if you can do the labor new or remanufactured parts is a time saver and I can never get enough time. Motors that work slow may have wiring issues be sure to check all the connections and if the motors still run slow they may be worn out.

EPA Estimates…How DOES the EPA determine fuel mileage numbers?

Many people place a great amount of trust and stock in the mileage numbers on your automobile’s sticker, especially these days when money is tight and times are tough all over. But are those numbers useful, accurate, or even trustworthy? It turns out not so much, actually. Why? Well, those figures are determined in a lab using ―different than typical‖ driving conditions, rather than actual real world driving situations.

How does the EPA determine the mileage numbers?

In the testing lab, the team places the drive wheels of the automobile on rollers of a machine called a dynamometer; the ―dyno‖ is designed to simulate the driving environment, much like an exercise bike simulates cycling. The machine is calibrated such that the analysts can adjust the rollers to simulate different driving factors such as wind resistance or the vehicle’s weight. While the wheels are on the dyno, a driver will run through what they consider to be a standardized driving routing (or ―schedule‖, each ―schedule‖ specifying the speed the vehicle must travel during each second of the test), which simulates a typical trip on the highway or in the city. For carbon-based fuel vehicles (i.e. gasoline, diesel, natural gas, etc), a hose is connected to the tailpipe to college engine exhaust put out during the tests. The amount of carbon in the exhaust determines the amount of fuel burned during the test (this measurement is considered more accurate than using a fuel gauge).

Why hasn’t this been particularly accurate? Well, up until 2008 the speeds at which the cars were driven to simulate real world traffic were, in reality, a bit…slow. For city tests, they used an average of 20 mph, and for highway, an average of 48 mph (not sure about you, but my speedometer has never seen those numbers in those areas – oh wait, probably shouldn’t admit that). Now, after 2008, they got smart and have changed their simulation parameters to include more factors that affect mileage: more realistic driving speeds, rabbit-like acceleration, temperature variations, and even including running the A/C. Today, even though the testing process is more comprehensive, you shouldn’t expect those numbers to be exact and accurate, but they should be fairly close.

CV NW: How long have you been playing music?

BS: I've been playing music since I was 5 years old!

CV NW: What first got you interested?

BS: Like a lot of people from my era, it was the Beatles on “The Ed Sullivan Show"“ that was inspiring.

CV NW: Do you play any other instruments?

BS: I play a little guitar, drums and bass CV NW: Who have you played with prior?

BS: I played with the LA based Dear Mr. President (formerly Bang Bang) who signed to Atlantic Records and were produced by Mick Jones of Foreigner. I also did some work with Gary Mallabar (Steve Miller Band drummer) and Claude Schnell (Dio keyboardist) amongst others.

CV NW: How did you first get together with the guys from the band?

BS: I had met Dan Reed prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1986. I got a call from him in early '87 to possibly audition. I flew up to audition and met everybody in different places and never actually auditioned.

CV NW: What do you hope to accomplish with your music?

BS: I hope people feel the energy that I'm putting out and I hope that they are feeling something different that they could only experience from a live performance.

CV NW: What do you want people to remember you by when you hang 'em up?

BS: I hope people remember me for my reasonable playing skills and through music I was able to help out others.

CV NW: What, if any, message do you want to convey with your music?

BS: Like music has many different styles and tones that when combined to form a cohesive idea, people are very similar and can work together as well.

CV NW: Where is the craziest place you've played?

BS: The craziest place I've played is always New York City! We have had some die hard friends and supporters!!!

CV NW: Where is the coolest play you've played?

BS: The old Wembley Stadium! It's where they had "Live Aid"and so many huge concerts!

CV NW: Who are the best fans?

BS: Our friends and supporters in Portland, Oregon are so important!

CV NW: Do you have a favorite song? Which one rings closest to your heart?

BS: "Tamin the Wild Nights"!

CV NW: If you could play onstage with one artist, who would that be?

THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY hard to categorize. The opening statement on Page 1 pretty much says it all: "Lynn M Carlson And Bo Huff Join Forces To Rule The World...In Style !"

The photos for the book were taken & compiled by Lynn who is a lifelong friend of Bo's. The pix, cars, bikes, and, models were all photographed at Bo's Museum and property in Utah. Bo's cars & bikes, as well as some belonging to Lynn, were used in the shoot. The models were all gorgeous...to say the least ! (And if the model on Pages 8, 9, and, 33 would like to get in touch with me, Bo has my number !!)

To describe this book correctly, you have to have lived back in the 60's. Think: 1967, "The Summer Of Love"; Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco; Woodstock, 1969; Peter Max; Jimi Hendrix; the Beatles "Yellow Submarine"; "Easy Rider"...the entire Psychedelic Culture that permeated that Time Period is manifested within the structure of this rare, low-volume, small press-run book. This is a "concept"-styled book, extremely unique, and visually stunning.

When I first saw it, it literally blew my mind ! It was like I had traveled back to those beautiful, artistic, free-form days that I loved so much as my career in Radio formed and shaped itself. In fact, I was talking to a few of my old Radio buddies recently and we agreed that we'd love to go "back there" again and re-live some of the fun & excitement that was a part of our lives, and our profession, at that time.

Bo's Museum is a sight to behold anyway. The walls are covered with memorabilia, hubcaps, license plates, advertising signs, juke boxes,...you name it Bo's got it ! There are also cases chocked-full of rare memorabilia. And the cars are all just remarkable: Rods, Customs, and, some cool stockers. Bo's compound is truly a "Rockabilly Kat's Paradise"...and one of these days I'm going to take him up on his offer to come and visit !

One of my favorite photos is on Page 15. The strength, and dynamics of that photo are so powerful ! This strong, beautiful, woman, posed behind the trunk of a '66 AMC Ambassador Sedan (just like my Dad owned in 1966) is truly a sight to behold. The composition of that shot makes it one of the best in the book. And if you study it closely, you'll imagine that that strong, sexy model would not only be able to drive that car, but could probably lift it up with her bare hands while you changed the flat tire for her...if she had one ! What a powerful shot ! (And yes indeed, before you ask, if she is available, Bo can give her my number also !!)

In addition, Page 13 is so remarkably rendered that it is a "work of art" on its own merits...and, should really be turned into a Poster. It would look fantastic hanging on a wall in your home or garage !

All-in-all, I could not recommend this book more highly. It's a super coffee table-type book to have in your collection. It's a hard-cover volume, in full, sometimes-psychedilic color, and is a large 12"x 12". The Pages are excellent quality, thick stock. Simply beautiful. Beware though: This book is not very big - just 40 Pages - and, outside of the First Page, there are no words or explanations of the pictures. But you really don't need any ! It goes back to the old quotation: "A picture is worth a thousand words." AND with "Hot Rodz, Hot Bodz, and Bo Huff" the pictures really say it all !!

Ancient Origins of Halloween Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter.

To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter.

By 43 A.D., the Roman Empire had conquered the majority of Celtic territory. In the course of the four hundred years that they ruled the Celtic lands, two festivals of Roman origin were combined with the traditional Celtic celebration of Samhain. The first was Feralia, a day in late October when the Romans traditionally commemorated the passing of the dead. The second was a day to honor Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees.

On May 13, 609 A.D., Pope Boniface IV dedicated the Pantheon in Rome in honor of all Christian martyrs, and the Catholic feast of All Martyrs Day was established in the Western church. Pope Gregory III (731–741) later expanded the festival to include all saints as well as all martyrs, and moved the observance from May 13 to November 1. By the 9th century the influence of Christianity had spread into Celtic lands, where it gradually blended with and supplanted the older Celtic rites. In 1000 A.D., the church would make November 2 All Souls' Day, a day to honor the dead. It is widely believed today that the church was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, but church-sanctioned holiday. All Souls Day was celebrated similarly to Samhain, with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels and devils. The All Saints Day celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the traditional night of Samhain in the Celtic religion, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween. ® Courtesy of www.history.com (www.history.com/topics/halloween).

A YOUNG girl named Lisa was left alone on several accounts as her parents worked late. They bought her a dog to keep her company. Lisa would always be nervous, but her dog would always sleep under her bed for protection, helping her sleep more easily.

One night Lisa was awoken by a constant dripping sound. She got up and went to the kitchen to turn off the tap properly. As she was getting back into the bed she stuck her hand under the bed, and the dog licked it.

The dripping sound continued, so she went to the bathroom and made sure the tap was turned off there, too.

But the dripping continued, so she went outside and turned off all the faucets out there. She came back to bed, stuck her hand under it, and the dog licked it again.

The dripping continued, drip, drip, drip. This time she listened and located the source of the dripping — it was coming from her closet. She opened the closet door, and there was her dog hanging upside down with its neck cut, and written on the window on the inside of the cupboard was"Humans can lick, too!!!"
