WINE

A note from Winegrower and Owner, Dave Drillock

DOWN WHAT’S DELISH AT LOCAL WINERIES?

Happy August to All! We hope your summer is going well. We have released our 2024 Shannon Hill Red. A blend of 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Petit Verdot. Notes of black raspberry, cherry and fresh violet with a soft mineral finish. It will go well with barbecued beef and red-sauced Italian dishes! Medium bodied with supple tannins. We are working through our vineyards, and most varieties have recovered well from the April freeze which makes us hopeful for this year’s harvest, even though it will be lower than expected. And as always in farming, we look forward to next year! We hope to see you at the winery. Our wines are not from a recipe. But in cooperation with nature, our wines are built on elegance and nuance through our winemaker’s knowledge and intuition. We are a winery that just wants to be a winery. And if that is not enough, you’ll meet our friendly and wine enthusiastic, tasting room staff!
