In 2003, when I first started my job hunt as a senior in high school, I had no idea that I would find not only my first job, but my dream job. My name is Leah Williams, and I am the owner of Minerals & Mystics in Seminole Square Shopping Center. For 17 years, I was blessed to be a part of The Crystal Connection family. Kathy and Jim Campbell, the owners of The Crystal Connection, took a chance on a persistent high school student with no work experience. I had a positive and determined spirit and they took me under their wing. I learned from the best and I am honored to carry on the traditions and knowledge of that experience. I started with cleaning jewelry and grew into everything from working with our awesome customers to managing an amazing staff. I love working one on one with geologists and vendors from around the world to bring the best quality, affordable rocks, minerals and jewelry to Charlottesville.

In July of 2020, Kathy Campbell retired and with her The Crystal Connection did as well. In August, Minerals & Mystics opened in the same space with the same staff as its reincarnation. 16 From pushcarts to modern transportation, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Central Virginia (PCVA) has withstood the test of time. As the holder of the oldest, written, and recorded Pepsi-Cola franchise, PCVA remains family owned and operated over 112 years after its birth in a basement on the corner of 4th and Water Street in downtown Charlottesville. Following the death of the company’s founder, Samuel Ambrose Jessup, or “Mr. S.A.”, in 1960, his youngest son, Jimmie Jessup became President of the company. Jimmie introduced many changes to PCVA, including a move in November, 1963 to a location on Millmont Street. PCVA eventually outgrew this location and in 1983 the current production and sales facility was constructed and occupied. Jimmie remained president of the company until his passing in February, 1984. After their father's death in 1984, Jay Jessup (President) and Suzanne Jessup Brooks (Executive Vice President), became the 3rd generation of bottlers at the helm of PCVA. PCVA has enjoyed over 112 years in the Charlottesville community and looks forward to many more!
