Education and Employment Pathways in the Creative Industries

The City of Greater Bendigo's Creative City team, delivers arts and cultural services through an annual arts program that prioritises diversity and inclusion, encourages participation in the arts and promotes the health and wellbeing benefits of creativity and arts participation.

A current priority is to map education and employment pathways in the creative industries by providing information, capacity building and opportunities for local emerging creatives. This resource has been created as an overview of industry related information and links.

There is strong evidence that creative skills are important to the economy now and will be in the future. Many of the industries that have grown the fastest—in terms of economic output—employ workforces with relatively high shares of creative qualifications.

The Victorian Skills Authority projected an increase of 2650 jobs in the cultural, creative and tourism economy across the Loddon-Campaspe Region between the years 2022 – 2025.
