“In this collection, you will not find one specific theme, but snapshots depicting just a few of the many manifestations of our human experience ranging from the embrace of new life, to rite of passage; from the bonds of love, to the exploration of the human imagination. If you had to give it a theme, in short, this is one big celebration of life. As life itself is an all-inclusive process, my hope is these images will act as a bridge to higher possibilities for any and all to connect with; be it love, joy, passion, creativity, or whatever else may resonate with you.� My journey began on the early morning of July 7th, 1998, when I was designated the name Peyton Alexis Jones. I am a cat lover, nature enthusiast, and love being behind the camera (not so much in front). In this diverse profession, I prefer to not label myself as any one kind of photographer. Rather, I go wherever my life energies may be pulling me at the moment, and give my all to that whether that be portraiture, documentary, creative edits, etc. I have found that one can execute any style of photography if done with absolute involvement, and derive the same fulfillment as you would with any other. As a photographer, a common misconception is that my job ends after the shots are taken, but in reality that is where the meat of my work begins, with hours of editing following each session. Over time, I learned to fall in love with this process by seeing how just a little bit of attention to detail changes a picture entirely and the possibilities for creating something beautiful out of the simplest of images, hence the inspiration for the creative edits in this project. Other inspirations for my work include the many expressions of emotion and life that can be captured through the lens of a camera.
