Commercial Portfolio
Hi! I am Makayla Buff. I was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. My best friend is my dog, Koda, and Cookout is my favorite place to eat. My favorite season is the spring/summer time because I love to ride with my windows down. I am a Christian and my favorite verse (at the moment) is 2 Chronicles 15:7 which says “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” My interest in photography began in high school where I took film photography classes all four years and quickly realized that it was my passion. Being able to pause a moment in time that will last long after I am gone amazes me. My #1 is commercial photography followed by portraiture. I love to make people smile and laugh. My goals are to build a family that I love with the person I love, work as a full-time commercial photographer, live in a barndominium and own a bunch of cool cars. This portfolio consists of 20 commercial style images. Creating this portfolio allowed me to combine my creativity and my favorite style of photography to capture. Using different lighting techniques and my creativity I was able to capture interesting commercial style images. My goal for this portfolio is to hopefully provide myself with an open door to future job opportunities and to challenge myself with different lighting techniques in the studio and also piecing images together in Photoshop.
