Through industry-led collaborative research and large-scale technology integration trials, CUTRIC is working to achieve this goal by focusing on technology development, integration and standardization of low-carbon propulsion systems and smart vehicle systems, data-driven analytics in mobility, and cybersecurity in transportation.

CUTRIC’S ZEB Consulting ServicesTM help transit agencies, utilities and other allied organizations reach their decarbonization and electrification goals scientifically and neutrally through feasibility and empirical analyses, full ZEB implementation planning and low-carbon smart mobility research.

Smart Rail Technology Conference 2024

The Smart Rail Technology Conference brings together industry experts, business leaders, political representatives and decision-makers on the critical topics defining Canada’s rail future Topics include electrification, autonomy and connectivity, light rail transit solutions, big data analytics, hydrail, and postpandemic rail recovery and growth.

The2023 Smart Rail Technology Conference will take place virtually and will include 15 sessions and 20 speakers. We expect to attract over 200 virtual attendees.

CUTRIC R &D Innovation Series 2023

Unveiling the latest research and development innovation in Canada

This three-part series will take place virtually between August and September this year.

During these sessions, we will be joined by some of the brightest minds from universities across Canada, as they discuss their recently completed transit-related research and innovation projects These projects were sponsored by the Government of Ontario through a $10 million fund as part of its Climate Change Strategy The goal of this partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade (MEDJCT) was to help move the province to the forefront of public transit research and development, supporting CUTRIC's founding mission to spur innovation and economic growth through the creation of low-carbon and smart mobility ecosystems.
