Kenalilah Indonesia 1: Year 8 Workbook is designed to be used in conjunction with chapters 5 to 8 of the Kenalilah Indonesia 1 student textbook, now in its third edition. This workbook includes a wide range of activities giving students the opportunity to practise reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Some activities relate to specific pages in the textbook, whereas others are general enough to be used at any time. This approach gives teachers considerable flexibility in shaping their program.

Activities are provided to assist students in understanding the meaning of the language on the authentic material without having to translate the whole text. Ideally this would be done without the aid of vocabulary lists, so that students are encouraged to read and write only Indonesian where possible.
