It’s been another bonkers-busy start to 2026, as our Made at Curve shows have been popping up all over the UK – KINKY BOOTS is at the mighty London Coliseum, LEGALLY BLONDE is bending and snapping across the UK and Ireland; INSIDE AMERICAN PIE played to sold-out crowds in our Studio, visiting us from Canada; KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN has taken her majestic web to Bristol and Southampton and our brand-new BANK OF DAVE visited Salford. Thank you for all of your support and getting behind these shows.
Hot on their heels is another Made at Curve quintet, taking us through the next half of this year. We are proud to present the world stage premiere of THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, based on Thomas Harris’ seminal novel. We’re thrilled John Partridge has agreed to play Hannibal Lecter in Gina Gionfriddo’s beautiful adaptation. Gina’s play BECKY SHAW is currently playing on Broadway, where it is up for two Tony Awards!
We’re equally elated to present Willy Russell’s legendary play EDUCATING RITA, following the story of bright-eyed twenty-something Susan ‘Rita’ White, as she dreams of making something of her life. After her acclaimed production of WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, our incredibly talented Associate Director Cara Nolan is back at the helm for this play. Cara is joined by Curve favourite, Set and Costume Designer Michael Taylor – returning to Curve after designing THE SOUND OF MUSIC and MY FAIR LADY – alongside Lighting Designer Katy Morrison, Sound Designer Jack Baxter and Casting Director Richard Johnston. It’s always exhilarating to see how the Studio theatre can be transformed and EDUCATING RITA promises to do just that.
Alongside EDUCATING RITA is the musical story of the equally spirited Sylvia Pankhurst, in SYLVIA. We’re excited to be supporting Curve friend and colleague Kate Prince, with her latest work, which blends irresistible hip hop, funk and soul music from Josh Cohen and DJ Walde. The Old Vic and ZooNation’s phenomenal production tells the story of Emmeline Pankhurst’s rebellious middle child at the height of the suffrage movement. The tour kicks off with us, before finishing up at the Royal Albert Hall. The incomparable Beverley Knight MBE (SISTER ACT, THE DRIFTERS GIRL) reprises her Olivier Award-winning role as Emmeline.

Matthew Bourne’s award-winning THE CAR MAN is back!
Loosely based on Bizet’s ever-popular opera, THE CAR MAN has one of the most thrilling and instantly recognisable scores in New Adventures’ repertoire.
The familiar 19th Century Spanish cigarette factory becomes a greasy 1950’s garage-diner in the American Mid-West where the dreams and passions of a small-town are shattered by the arrival of a handsome and enigmatic stranger. Fuelled by heat and desire, the inhabitants are driven into an unstoppable spiral of greed, lust, betrayal and revenge.
Matthew Bourne’s vivid storytelling combines with one of the most passionately dramatic scores ever written, with music by Terry Davies featuring Rodion Shchedrin’s CARMEN SUITES (after Bizet’s CARMEN), to create a dance thriller like no other.

Public Dress Rehearsals
The decision to invite the public to our Dress Rehearsal will be taken on the morning of that scheduled performance and tickets will go on sale on the same day. Tickets are limited to four per person and are available on a first come, first served basis.
A limited number of £10 tickets are available for every performance, for everyone. Call the Box Office on 0116 242 3595 for more details and to check availability.

Our Access Register Scheme is designed to assist customers with additional needs. We store relevant information regarding your personal requirements, so you don’t need to resubmit documentation each time you book. ACCESS PERFORMANCES ADDITIONAL SERVICES
CAPTIONED PERFORMANCES (CAP)
At Captioned performances, the actors’ spoken words are shown as visible text via two display screens on stage, one on each side, similar to subtitles. The text scrolls at the same speed as the dialogue, making it easy to follow with the action on stage.
SIGNED PERFORMANCES IN BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE (BSL)
Our BSL Interpreted performances are presented with British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation. The interpreter will be positioned on either the left or right of the stage throughout the performance, and their position will be confirmed online once available.
AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES (AD)
During these performances, audio describers provide a live, verbal commentary on key visual aspects of the show for audience members who identify as Blind or sight impaired. The description is presented via a personal headset (available from the Box Office) and includes an audio introduction to the show before the performance starts.
DEMENTIA FRIENDLY PERFORMANCES (DF)
Dementia Friendly performances are tailored to meet the needs of people living with dementia. They include adaptations to the show, clearer visual markers and signage in the physical environment, and a relaxed attitude to movement and audience responses during the show.
RELAXED PERFORMANCES (RP)
Relaxed Performances are open to anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed performance environment. Audience members can interact with the performance in their own way and, while the theatre doors will close, guests can leave and re-enter the theatre at any time. We also make adaptations to the show, and reserve a quiet space for anyone needing some time out of the performance.
TOUCH TOURS (TT)
An accompaniment to Audio Described performances, Touch Tours are a tactile tour of the stage, set and costumes, giving audience members who are blind or sight impaired greater access to the performance. Tours usually take place 90 minutes (or earlier) prior to the start of an Audio Described performance.
INFRA-RED & INDUCTION LOOP HEARING SYSTEMS
Available in our Theatre and Studio Theatre. Please ask at the Box Office for a headset.
ASSISTANCE DOGS
Dog spaces are available upon request; please let us know during the booking process and a seat next to the aisle will be reserved for you. Alternatively, a member of staff can care for your dog during the performance. We can also provide drinking water.
WHEELCHAIR SPACES IN ALL OF OUR PERFORMANCE AREAS
All public areas are accessible to wheelchair users, including lift access to the Circle level. We have allocated wheelchair spaces for every performance, both in the Theatre and Studio Theatre. If you wish to transfer to a theatre seat we can store your wheelchair upon request.
ACCESSIBLE TOILETS AND CHANGING PLACES FACILITY
Available on both the Stalls and Circle levels. We also have a Changing Places accessible toilet with adult hoist on the foyer level, next to Door 4 of the Theatre.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Available on Southampton Street. We also have a drop-off point on Rutland Street. More information can be found on accessible parking bays nearby on our website under Plan Your Visit.
