Welcome everyone to the CYCC Summer shows which celebrate the talents and skills of the participants who attend our weekly sessions.
This year all our CYCC sessions have been focused on devising, and tonight’s performance is the outcome of those explorations. Presenting a variety of issues and topics that will make you think, question, laugh and drive you to be moved by their insight and interpretation.
An opportunity for the theatre makers of today and the future to voice their opinions about imagination, entertainment, life, social media, identity, growing up, politics and the world we live in.
Told creatively with humour, movement, comedy, song, drama and engaging techniques that will have you on the edge of your seats. Are you ready for CYCC and the young talent on our stages! Well done everyone!
We hope you enjoy the show and seeing their ideas realised on stage.

“Roll up, roll up, one and all and welcome to CYCC’s very own Circus Spectacular!”
This term, for our year of devising, the students were offered the theme of Circus: The bright lights, magic and fun, making for some great food for the imagination. The students have done a fantastic job of becoming circus performers, creating ideas for all of the different acts in their very own Circus. I am incredibly proud of the work and the creativity that they have brought to this piece. Having only started as their lead practitioner in January, I am so impressed with their passion and how they throw themselves into every activity. Now, please sit back, have your popcorn and candy floss at the ready, and cheer as loudly as possible for Circus Spectacular! Enjoy the show!
