D I V E I N O N DAY O N E Curry students roll up their sleeves and gain valuable real-world skills right away. They find their voice on our radio station WMLN-FM and answer research questions in our microbiology lab. They study health practices in Portugal and take cooking classes in Florence, Italy, through our faculty-led travel courses. They strengthen research and writing skills in our First-Year Program and analyze fingerprints in our Forensic Science Lab. Whether you network in our Boston-based internships and clinicals or hear firsthand from successful Curry alumni at on-campus events and networking opportunities, you’ll graduate with skills to thrive in your chosen field.
“ Curry gives you hands-on experiences much earlier than other colleges. By my sophomore year, I was already starting clinical training in the city. Talking to patients and aiding their anxieties has boosted my confidence to a whole new level." Victoria Thomas ’26, Nursing

10 RESEARCH AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
“ As a former field practitioner in the areas of law-enforcement, forensic science, and investigations, the absolute key to success of the Forensic Science program at Curry is the application of hands-on activities throughout all the courses. The ultimate goal in keeping students interested is to engage them in real-world scenarios with industry-standard equipment in the lab.” Jim Jabbour Assistant Professor Forensic Science

" My clinical experience has been life changing. Seeing real patients and watching their progress has shown me how rewarding it is to help people. It’s also helped me take what I’ve learned in the classroom and apply it in a real-world setting, making me even more confident in the career path I’ve chosen." Mia Schena ’27, Exercise Science

PROGRAM FOR ADVANCEMENT O F L E A R N I N G ( PA L ) Curry was the first college in the nation to create a program specifically designed to support students with ADHD and other learning differences. Our
nationally recognized Program for Advancement of
Learning (PAL) offers tailored accommodations and
tools for test taking, time management, self-advocacy, communication and social skills, and more. Work with
your PAL advisor to choose the accommodations that work best for you.
SOCIAL ACHIEVEMENT IN LEARNING PROGRAM (SAIL) Social Achievement in Learning (SAIL) is made for academically capable students with neurodiverse
profiles who benefit from individualized support to
reach their full potential in a college environment.
SAIL-appropriate students thrive when provided with
social coaching, transitional assistance, self-advocacy support, and sensory-friendly housing. Our students often have diagnoses of ASD, non-verbal learning
disorder, social-pragmatic language disorder, and/or
co-occurring diagnoses such as anxiety, depression,
ADD/ADHD, and executive functioning challenges, or self-report a demonstrated need for social supports.

READY FOR
Your Ambition Skubie Mageza ’14 knows the power of preparation. Moving to Boston from Zimbabwe with his mother and brother at seven years old, Skubie came with a dream—working on-air for ESPN. Coming to Curry made it happen. His first year, he began reporting from the sidelines for Curry’s television station CC8 and editing and recording highlights. Soon after, Curry’s career resources connected him with an internship at NESN, which led to his first job in the industry working behind the camera at FOX25 in Boston. By 2021, he found himself on set at the largest sports broadcast network in the world. Just like he’d planned.
Curry prepares you for success in any field. With our Curry Commitment, you’ll begin shaping your future career from your first year, ensuring you’re well-prepared to succeed as you transition into the professional world. Our Career & Experiential Learning (CXL) team connects you with internships, employers, and professional resources that are made for you to achieve your goals.
