After 19 RBS refresh projects were completed – the following carbon and cash savings have been made : • Average reduction in miles driven between 47% and 81% diversion from landfill – 98% • Average cost saving per project £522 • Average GBA eco fee per project £2496 This includes: • All site set up equipment including fire points in and out • All inward deliveries checked and stowed • Waste vessels supplied and collected when full • 3 separate visits (all out of hours and timed / tracked) • Chair delivery and old chair processing • Merchandising removal • Removal of all inert and segregated waste via supplied vessels • All merchandising delivered • New carpet / flooring delivered • New staff room items delivered • Old staff room items removed • Waste summary

Workstreams RBS GBA eco have been working closely with main contractors to deliver all site set up equipment to these projects on the first night. Going on to provide out of hours, timed and consolidated deliveries to these projects. Bulk deliveries of chairs, carpets, merchandising, staff room items, materials are taken in from the tier 2 suppliers for multiple projects; these are then split and allocated to the individual project. On large projects where counters or dividing walls are being removed, GBA eco have provided a large 18 tonne box vehicle to wait on site for the required time. Then taking all bulky items away on a wait and load basis. These items are then taken for recycling and a full breakdown is provided.
Barclays GBA have provided an almost identical service to the main contractors for this work stream. GBA have also added a recovery operation, seeing valuable componentry that would normal go into the skip, carefully separated and reused on future projects. These items include under counter safes, chairs, staff room carpets and hearing loop systems. GBA’s unique approach to waste management makes this level of fine tuning possible.
Post Office GBA have been working closely with the main contractors to provide consolidated deliveries to site, waste management and a re-use programme which see’s expensive or discontinued items being saved for future projects
Lidl GBA have been accepting large, heavy and often bulky material deliveries direct from the manufacturers on the near continent. Our services have also enabled large quantities of heras fencing to be purchased rather than hired, this is then delivered to site, along with site set up at the beginning of a project. At the end of the project the same vehicle collecting recyclables also collects the site set up and the fencing, placing it back into stock and avoiding costly delivery, hire and collection charges.

GBA eco will make a £10 donation for every project we are involved in for 2014 / 2015. Many of our drivers and staff are ex British service men and women and this charity is dear to our hearts. GBA eco are also working with several other charities in order to place reusable products that are derived from the projects we are involved in. We regularly donate chairs, carpets, furniture and electrical goods to local charities…. The first rule of recycling is re use!
