Over the past 25 years, CURE has followed the footsteps of Jesus to “heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God (Luke 9:2).” Our response to God’s calling has taken us to some of the hardest places on earth to serve the most vulnerable children. By God’s grace, and because of partners like you, we’ve built a network of eight children’s hospitals that provide transformational surgical care and share the good news of Jesus with children with treatable disabilities. Our hospitals work closely with local churches, communities, and governments by becoming pillars of strength to their national healthcare systems and equipping thousands of healthcare professionals in the countries we serve. Over the next three years, CURE prayerfully plans to serve twice as many children from our existing hospital footprint. It’s a bold plan that will require additional staff, updated equipment, and expanded facilities. As part of our new capital campaign, which we’re calling “Add Capacity,” the CURE Executive Leadership team has documented the upgrade and expansion needed across the network to maximize each hospital’s impact. Across the world, our hospitals are ready to grow and provide hope to the thousands of children that remain on our surgical waiting lists. With new medical equipment, more space, and more reliable utilities, we can welcome these children into our hospitals and the arms of Jesus. Well-maintained facilities and modern medical equipment contribute significantly to safe and consistent outcomes for CURE patients. We will invest heavily in upgrading our hospitals for optimal patient flow, throughput, and quality of care.
The lack of available beds in our children’s wards significantly limits the number of patients CURE can serve. Across our network, we will renovate and expand each children’s ward, creating a total of 360 beds, allowing CURE to double the number of surgeries performed each year.

Training national medical staff improves access to sustainable care and reaches beyond the walls of CURE hospitals. Updated, modern operating rooms and equipment will allow CURE to significantly expand our training capacity, allowing us to train up to 50 residents and fellows across the network each year.
Patient hostels provide temporary housing for patients and their caretakers. Hostels also increase access to care for patients from rural or distant areas, who are typically the most in need. After the campaign, all of our hospitals will have patient hostels available to increase the number of patients we are able to serve.
Because of the increase in patients through the expansion of the hospitals and hostels, we will be able to reach more children with the good news of Jesus Christ. This will occur through increased mobile clinics that serve to both recruit more patients and share the gospel.
