purpose vision mission

To heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God.
— Luke 9:2

Wa letter from the executive director
Peter Cowles
hat an honor it is to be part of our remarkable team of partners who made it possible for Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital of the Philippines to have a milestone year—setting new records across all key performance indicators! In three of the last four months of the fiscal year, we averaged 100 percent utilization of our operating rooms. In the past 12 months, we performed nearly 2,600 surgical procedures—a fourfold increase from four years ago.
We are so grateful for your prayers for wisdom and direction as we connect with many of the most vulnerable children in the Philippines, some in communities far from the hospital. Rather than waiting for patients to find us, we actively visit their communities and help arrange their transportation to the hospital.
We are blessed to be building relationships with more local government units and cooperating partners. A shift is happening in our hospital population. By midyear, we began seeing that more than 80 percent of our patients were coming from outside the Davao City area. The typical patient now travels more than 4 hours by bus—some as far as 18 hours.
Many of these families have given up hope of their children receiving life-transforming
surgery. They are usually unaware that a world-class children’s surgical hospital exists in Mindanao—one that works diligently to remove any financial, transportation, and housing barriers so all services are available at no cost. Visiting these many communities and sharing the opportunity for treatment with the families is a joy.
We also rejoice in the spiritual opportunities to tangibly share God’s love with the families we serve. As they leave the hospital, they are grateful and thankful to all the doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals God uses to create what they commonly call miracles.
Thanks for standing with us as we work together to help kids heal. On behalf of our dedicated team, Daghang Salamat!
Sincerely,

Peter L. Cowles Executive Director Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital of the Philippines

Zamboanga Sibugay mobile clinic

Tebow CURE is intensifying their efforts to serve vulnerable children in remote areas through mobile clinics and partnerships with local governments. In February 2025, Tebow CURE’s mobile clinic team reached Zamboanga Sibugay, a remote province on the Zamboanga peninsula located 16 hours by car from the hospital.

Zamboanga is one of the most underserved areas in the Philippines when it comes to surgical care, and a history of conflict has made it difficult to reach. During a two-day mobile clinic, the team saw 132 patients and scheduled 111 for surgery at the hospital.
One patient, 13-yearold Kenneth, was born with a cleft lip, clubfoot, and missing fingers and toes. Aside from feeding difficulties, his airy speech made him the target of teasing. And his clubfoot made walking difficult and painful. Despite all this, he has excelled academically and in sports, anchored by his faith and family.
Following life-transforming surgery and physical therapy at CURE, Kenneth’s conditions have been corrected, allowing him to walk properly. And after additional surgery to treat his cleft lip, he will be able to speak clearly as well.
The Zamboanga Sibugay mobile clinic is one of Tebow CURE’s farthest-reaching efforts yet, ensuring more children like Kenneth receive the care they need—bridging distance and disparity through faith and healing.

a decade of healing
10 years of Tebow CURE
Healing takes many forms—some visible, like mended wounds, and others internal, like renewed hearts and minds. Over the years, countless stories of transformation and hope have emerged, all rooted in a vision that became reality in 2014 with the founding of Tebow CURE. Ten years later, that vision has touched thousands of lives.
In May 2025, Tebow CURE celebrated their 10th anniversary—marked by the 2,000th surgical

a decade of impact
Established through a partnership between Sacred Harvest Foundation, CURE International, the Tim Tebow Foundation, and other supporters, Tebow CURE opened their doors with the mission to “heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:2). And they’ve remained committed to that mission.
Since opening, the hospital has performed more than 12,800 surgical procedures and shared the gospel with over 41,000 individuals, resulting in more than 15,700 faith expressions.
One patient who was profoundly impacted by Tebow CURE’s services is Mack Earl, a 15-year-old boy born with a left clubfoot and a shortened right leg due to the absence of a fibula. Unable to walk upright, he spent his life on his knees. When he was three years old, his family sought help, but the pain of treatment caused them to stop.
Motivated by love for his family and a deep faith, Mack Earl saw his conditions as a gift and accepted that he might live with them for the rest of his life. “God told me it’s a gift, and He gave these conditions to me because He knows I am strong enough to handle them,” he shared.
Then, Mack Earl’s life changed forever when he discovered Tebow CURE through a mobile clinic. After undergoing corrective surgery for his clubfoot in November 2024, followed by months of physiotherapy, he received a below-the-knee amputation in April 2025 in preparation for a prosthetic leg.
During a recent clinic appointment, Mack Earl felt confident about the way his knee was healing and was excited to receive his prosthetic leg soon. “I am thankful to everyone at Tebow CURE, especially my doctor, Dr. Eide,” he said.
a celebration for the record books
With Mack Earl and his family in attendance, the 10-year anniversary celebration included a caravan led by hospital staff, a chapel service, and a video recounting the hospital’s

journey. The event concluded with the formal turnover of a donation from Apex Mining Co. Inc., the hospital’s first Diamond Partner, which contributed PHP 3 million to support orthopedic care.
Tebow CURE Executive Director Peter Cowles expressed gratitude for the team’s dedication: “Thank you for going above and beyond to make these patients feel welcomed and cared for.”
We are deeply grateful for the last 10 years of healing and transformation, and we look ahead with faith—ready to serve more children through life-changing surgery and the love of Jesus.
finding strength through faith
Ruel’s Story
For 18 years, Ruel suffered from knock knees—a leg condition characterized by the knees turning inward and knocking together while the ankles remain apart. He couldn’t walk long distances without experiencing pain or discomfort in his knees and back. Eventually, the condition prevented him from playing his favorite sport, basketball, and forced him to drop out of school.
His parents were heartbroken but couldn’t afford to bring him to the hospital for treatment. They gave up hope of finding the help he needed and remained concerned as he faced the rest of his life with limited mobility. “I am worried about what my son’s future would be like when we are no longer around,” shared his mom, Jocelyn.
Thankfully, God led Ruel’s family to Tebow CURE through a mobile clinic in their area, where our

highly skilled doctors referred him to the hospital for treatment. According to Jocelyn, “Other people in our hometown would discourage us from undergoing surgery. Despite the opposition and discouragement, I brought my son to CURE anyway because I believe God led us here so my son can receive the healing we’ve long waited for.”
At Tebow CURE, Ruel’s prayers were finally answered when he received the gift of healing and underwent life-changing surgery! Our world-class surgical team performed multiple procedures to correct Ruel’s knock knees. He also endured intensive physiotherapy to learn how to walk on his newly straightened legs. While he recovered, our compassionate spiritual ministry staff offered biblical counseling, prayers, and emotional support to him and his family—part of our mission to share Jesus’s love with everyone who comes through our doors.
Today, life looks very different for Ruel. He is back in school through the Alternative Learning System and dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer. He’s also back on the basketball court, playing in a league in his hometown.
At a recent mobile clinic, he testified to other patients and their families about his healing journey. “Just trust in God like how I trusted Him. Nothing is impossible with God,” he said. “I waited many years for my treatment, and God answered through Tebow CURE.”
Jocelyn is thankful for Ruel’s life-transforming treatment and looks forward to what he’ll do in the future on two straight legs. “I am grateful to Tebow CURE . . . God is good. He provided us with all our needs.”
Helping kids heal goes beyond the physical. In 10 years of service, we have seen the spiritual impact of faith and a dream. Tebow CURE is blessed to provide hope and the opportunity for dreamers like Ruel to become the people they want to be. And we are eager to reach more dreamers in Mindanao and throughout the Philippines for many years to come.
