New Malden KT3 The village of New Malden was established entirely as a result of the arrival of New Malden Railway Station in 1846 on the main line from Waterloo. Property speculators immediately started building houses in the fields around Malden & Coombe (now New Malden) Station, and thus New Malden was born in the 1860s.
