Connection Requirements
Internet is required for: Initial Tap to Pay setup. Every customer payment. In case of NO internet:
If there’s no internet connection, Tap to Pay card payments won’t work.
Please use cash as a backup payment option, or move to an area with better phone reception if possible.
Quick Checklist Before Your Shift
Phone signed in with your email
Allow all app requested phone permissions
Phone updated to latest OS
Internet connection active
Android only: NFC turned ON
No screen recording running
Phone not connected to computer
Battery permission for “Unrestricted” access to ensure optimal meter performance

What NOT to Do
During setup or payments:
No screen recording
No USB connections (except charging cable)
No tethering to other devices
No active phone calls for either passenger or driver while paying
These will block Tap to Pay from working!
Pro Tips During Shifts &
For Tap To Pay
Keep your phone charging during your shift.
Passengers can always scan QR Code or pay cash as backup.
Do not turn off your phone’s screen display.
If payment fails, check internet connection first, move to a location with better reception.
If Tap to Pay doesn’t detect the card or phone, try slowly moving your phone around the contactless on the credit card or phone.
Keep the Curb One app running in the foreground on your phone during your trips.
