ARTISTIC INSTALMENT OF THE CCPC The Fondation called upon the Senegalese artists collective Groupe D-10, constituted by the winners of Sene'Gala exhibition (Monaco, 2008), to undertake the decorative instalment of the CCPC. They rose to the challenge admirably. During almost a year, they brought to the table their vast experience and artistic sensibility to complete an astonishing common project. This baobab which stands tall in front of the CCCP is the final touch of this assiduous project.

M
ONACO-MATIN, the Principality's local daily newspaper, ran a story covering the Cuomo Foundation's participation in No Finish Line 2016.
The main focus of the article was Roberto Bellanova, who accomplished an unprecedented feat this year for a member of the CF Team.

NFL MONACO
One of the main sponsors of the No Finish Line, the Cuomo Foundation participates each year in the Monaco charity race since 2009. This year, the Foundation’s participation is further highlighted by the number of members. This team, with almost one hundred athletes—all volunteers— is its biggest lineup ever. For the fourth consecutive time, the team is coordinated by Emanuela Montagenese. Member of the team for many years, Roberto Bellanova took part this year in the "Eightday Race", which is an unprecedented exploit for a member of the Foundation’s
13
team. This race is the most demanding event of the NFL which involves not only an intensive running over a period of eight days, but also the full-stay on the circuit premises during the whole event. "I do not have anything of an extraordinary athlete or an exceptional runner," says Roberto who is from San Remo, Italy. He temporarily retrieved from his daily routine to support the Foundation and the NFL. "If I manage to run during 8 days, I want to prove that anyone can do it, notwithstanding one’s athletic qualities".

oussa Sène Absa, Senegalese film director known for his political documentaries, visited the Foundation Headquarters in late November 2016. During this visit, he had the opportunity to meet with the students of Princesse Grace Academy of Monaco, supported by the Foundation through a scholarship programme. This poem, presented here in its original French version, is inspired by this encounter.

November 24, 2016

A New Book on Hobart Method

EDITOR'S NOTE
his handbook is a collection of notes taken during a year's work with Gillian Hobart on her unique approach to disability. Working besides Gillian was a real privilege.
This year-long experience was not only a method of high-quality learning, but also a way to get in deep contact with dance and its revolutionary values—those which made
it such an esteemed cultural expression. Today dance determines people’s lives, whether they are differently-abled or not… Gillian is a spectator and an actress of this odyssey. Her voice echoes in the pages of this book." Il quaderno del Methodo Hobart, a cura di Monica Tomasetti, 2016, GuraraldiLab, Rimini, 172p., 12€ | photos © Cuomo Foundation

Cuomo Foundation's Actions Reported by Worldwide Media
M
aria Elena and Alfredo Cuomo established the Cuomo Foundation in order to empower and enable the young and disadvantaged, support the needy and enable artists to commit to their ambitions. A private couple who never courted the public eye-their accomplishments for a long time remained unrecorded. When Elena Cuomo found herself alone with the whole future of the Foundation in her hands, she chose to rise to the challenge, explore and further expand its aims, achievements and partnerships. Today, the Cuomo Foundation empowers and supports actions worldwide through Education, Medical and Social Welfare, Research and the Arts. This book is a collection of the media coverage historically, which highlights some but not all of the Foundation’s work.
