Programme de bourses sur le Changement climatique - GIEC

BOURSES D’ETUDES SUR LE CHANGEMENT CLIMATIQUE

Fondée en 1988 par le Programme des Nations Unies pour l’Environnement, le Groupe

d’Experts Intergouvernemental sur l’Evolution

du Climat (GIEC) est l’organisme international chef de file pour l’évaluation du changement climatique.

Le projet a été lancé en 2007 avec les fonds du Prix Nobel de la Paix que le GIEC a conjointement reçus avec M. Al Gore.

Le programme est ouvert aux doctorants issus de pays en développement préparant leur thèse liée à la problématique du changement climatique. Les jeunes chercheurs sont sélectionnés tous les 2 ans par un comité d’experts scientifiques du GIEC.

La Fondation Prince Albert II a initié un partenariat en 2011 avec l’organisme onusien. La Fondation Cuomo a rejoint l’initiative en 2013 et finance 4 bourses pour la promotion 2015-2017.
