MISSION STATEMENT Kingsborough Community College responds to the needs of its diverse community by offering high quality, affordable, innovative, student-centered programs of study that prepare graduates for transfer and the workforce. The college strives for equity and seeks to provide each student with the appropriate resources and supports to foster success.

VISION Kingsborough Community College encourages students to take an active role in their own learning. The College strives for high quality and continuous improvement in all areas related to student learning, including academic programs, teaching, student services, administration and support, and the campus environment.

“The 1963 Society" recognizes donors who make an annual leadership-level gift at one of the giving society levels (see below). The 1963 Society

Since 1963, Kingsborough has gone from humble beginnings in Brooklyn to a top-four ranking among community colleges nationwide, and much of the college's success has been due to the enduring generosity of its donors. Whether they are faculty or retirees, alumni or administrators, corporate partners or distinguished friends, our donors have funded student scholarships, supported faculty innovation, strengthened our ties to the greater community, and laid a strong foundation for Kingsborough’s future. A major gift is any single gift of $5,000 or more.

LIMITED-TERM FUNDS

The original donation arrives as a lump-sum contribution.

A set amount is distributed each year until the fund depletes, unless it is replenished by additional donations.

The original donation is invested, and the proceeds are used to fund the awarding of the scholarship in perpetuity.

Planned giving includes any gift committed to the Foundation in the future, usually through your estate plan.

It provides you the opportunity to make a significant contribution to support Kingsborough Community College while still meeting your personal & financial goals.

IRA RMD/IRA QCD:

Donate to the KCC Foundation through your IRA Required Minimum Distribution or IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution.

Our mission is to provide KCC alumni a lifetime connection to the college through a variety of events and social activities that are beneficial to alumni, students and the college as a whole.

We invite KCC alumni to remain a vital part of their alma mater through membership in our Alumni Association. (You automatically become an alumnus after you graduate or after you leave and have earned 30 or more credits at KCC).

Membership is free for the first year following your graduation, with no obligation to renew. After your first year, the annual fee is only $25 and will help support student scholarships and programming for alumni events.
