CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Pray for our VBS Volunteers

Jesus, we pray that through VBS, kids in our community will grow in their relationship with you. We ask that you begin to break down any walls that might be preventing their young hearts from receiving your love. We ask that the truth of who you are sink deep into their hearts. Let them leave knowing who you are and the overwhelming, joyful love you have for each and every one of them. May the impact of VBS last a lifetime.

Join our Children’s Sunday School Team for the 2026-2027 School Year

We hope you will consider being a part of our Sunday School team made up of amazing folks who commit to at least one semester of the school year to serve as a small group leader, large group leader, Sunday School Captain or a greeter! We provide all lesson plans, materials and any other guidance – we just need you to show God’s love! If you are interested or have questions, reach out to Kate May.

There’s more work to do! As we go about our daily lives, there are people in Western NC who are still struggling with the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Centenary is planning to help the week of October 25. We will be heading north to Ashe County to work on homes. If you would like to be a part of this team, mark your calendar and look for future info and sign-ups. If you can only come for a few days, that’s ok as well. All levels of skill can be used so don’t be afraid to sign up to share Christ’s love through our caring actions. Questions? Contact John Markle.
