The online MAE Athletic Coaching emphasis prepares individuals to be an athletic coach at any level from youth to adult. This program is designed to provide opportunities to connect theory and practice via current research and information with a focus on SHAPE AMERICA National Standards for Sport

MISSION

The mission of the Master of Arts in Education emphasis in Athletic Coaching program is to promote an environment of excellence in athletic coaching accomplished through demonstration knowledge of the National Standards for Sport Coaches

Develop competencies to effectively communicate, collaborate, educate, and support all stakeholders associated with the sport program

30credithours

The 30-credit hour MAE program combines a core set of courses centered around: Theory and Practice of Athletic Coaching, Dynamics of Skill Acquisition, Training and Conditioning Principles for Athletic Coaches, and Youth Development through Sport and Physical Activity.

5semesters

Students may attend three semesters (Fall, Spring, and Summer) split into two eightweek terms (A term and B term) This gives you six options in which to start the program
