PROGRAM GOALS

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is offered by the university in keeping with Cumberland’s Mission to provide opportunities for advanced study in fields appropriate to the needs of the community The program seeks to provide individuals who have earned an accredited baccalaureate degree in any field with an opportunity to acquire advanced business expertise while continuing to work full-time during the period of enrollment.

The MBA program requires 36 credit hours – The core requirements consist of ten courses that all MBA students must complete. You may then choose one of seven MBA specialization options in coordination with your faculty advisor to meet your individual goals

Students may graduate in as little as one year by taking four courses per semester OR may choose a lighter load of two courses per semester and graduate in two years

To demonstrate advanced business and economics knowledge

To demonstrate ethical awareness and advanced decision making skills

To demonstrate advanced competence in gathering and analyzing organizational information from internal and external sources using technology and literature

To demonstrate advanced competence in the synthesis, evaluation, and communication of decisions.

We’ve eliminated entrance exams from our admissions process, which means you won’t have to spend your time studying for or taking the GMAT exam. All you need to get started is a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university

A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 2 5 GPA, or 3 00 in previous Master’s programs

Completed Cumberland University online admissions application.

Immunizations (on-ground only)

Official transcripts sent from all previously attended colleges and universities. Students with a non-business related bachelor’s degree are required to successfully complete an MBA Foundations Survey Course as part of their program

Students with less than a 2.5 GPA may complete two courses under provisional acceptance If the student earns a grade of B or higher in both courses, they will earn final acceptance
