[we are unique] At C-SC, a leader in experiential learning, each semester is divided into two terms - a 12week and a 3-week. Students take three or four classes in the first 12 weeks of the semester, and take just one in the last 3 weeks of the semester.

[we are travelers] As one of two colleges in the nation with an unique 12-week/3-week semester calendar, students have endless opportunities for hands-on experience. One of the major options for students is traveling with their professors and entire class on location around the world. Travel study courses are the cornerstone of our experiential learning approach, so they are offered in nearly every discipline. Travel study courses can be domestic and international. Students can earn travel study grants every semester to help cover travel study fees.

We offer at least two international travel study courses each semester, much like the one pictured here in Peru! We also have many domestic courses each year, whether it’s driving to St. Louis to experience world religions first hand or traveling across the country to the Grand Canyon to brush up on your photography skills. For a complete list of our past, present and future destinations visit culver.edu/ future-students/undergraduate/travel-study/.

At Culver-Stockton, we give credit where credit is due. Members of the military as well as law enforcement and corrections officers can receive college credit for their experience and training gained during their service. To learn more about this program, visit culver.edu/baas.

[we are leaders] IN ADDITION TO THE LEADERSHIP POSITIONS ON ATHLETIC TEAMS AND IN STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS, C-SC HAS BEEN GIFTED WITH AN ENDOWMENT FOR LEADERSHIP WHICH PROVIDES OUR STUDENTS WITH: • A first year course in leadership in our First-Year Experience program. • A “Leader in Residence” program which annually brings exceptional leaders to campus to share their knowledge. • A selective student stipend for travel to leadership conferences.

This is Dan Dickinson, keynote speaker and Leader in Residence at the fourth annual C-SC Leads Conference. We host this event every year for students to learn from and be inspired by leaders from around the world. Dan encouraged our students to follow their passions in life. He fulfills his passion as an organ donation activist. Above all things he spoke about negativity and the need for leaders to avoid it, as it’s contagious and can consume an organization. To learn more about our leadership initiatives and opportunities at C-SC, visit culver.edu/leadership.

CAREER SERVICES OFFERS ONE-ON-ONE INTERNSHIP & CAREER GUIDANCE ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING: • Finding the right internships • Resources to help confirm or select career choice • Choosing and preparing for graduate school • Cover letter and resume development • Interview and job search strategies 98% OF STUDENTS REPORT STARTING THEIR FIRST CAREER OR ARE IN GRAD SCHOOL WITHIN 6 MONTHS FROM GRADUATING.

C-SC hosts an annual Dressed for Success event where faculty, staff and friends of the College donate their gently used professional attire for students to choose from so they don’t have to spend money on clothes for the job or internship interview process.
