12/3 SEMESTER At C-SC, a leader in experiential learning, each semester is divided into two terms - a 12-week and a 3-week. Students take three or four classes in the first 12 weeks of the semester, and take just one in the last 3 weeks of the semester. This allows our students to: • Focus on fewer courses at once. • Work as a full-time intern in the academic year. • Travel without worrying about other classes. (See the next page!) • Take classes in a hybrid format (online and on-campus) to accelerate your degree.

THE WORLD IS YOUR CLASSROOM
As one of two colleges in the nation with an unique 12-week/3-week semester calendar, students have endless opportunities for hands-on experience. One of the major options for students is traveling with their professors and entire class on location around the world. C-SC travel study courses include extensive preparation on campus prior to departure, and thoughtful briefing upon return, maximizing the meaning and learning experiences of each course. Travel study courses are the cornerstone of our experiential learning approach, so they are offered in nearly every discipline. Travel study courses can be domestic and international. Students can earn travel study grants every semester to help cover travel study fees, and international travel study scholarships are available as well.
We offer at least two international travel study courses each semester, much like the one pictured to the right in Italy! We also have at least four domestic courses each year, whether it’s driving to St. Louis to experience world religions first hand or traveling across the country to the Grand Canyon to brush up on your photography skills. With 12 residence halls including Greek houses, C-SC is mostly a residential campus. Living on campus enables students to take an active role in developing and participating in a community and feel like they are at the heart of campus life.
Room styles vary by residence hall, from double and triple occupancy to suite style with private bathrooms. Students can request to be roommates with friends or matched by Student Life. Culver-Stockton offers a four-year graduation guarantee, assuring students can participate in Travel Study courses, extracurricular activities and service projects, all while knowing they can graduate in four years.
