It is our honor and privilege to thank you for your generous gifts that are changing lives at Culver-Stockton College. Our comprehensive campaign, Culver-Stockton: Changing Lives! has raised nearly 20 million dollars in cash and pledges and nine million dollars in documented planned gifts.

Your support for our students of promise is unparalleled and greatly appreciated. Each and every dollar is spent advancing their experience.

Our Board of Trustees led the way once again with 100% generously supporting the College. And for the 16th consecutive year, over 90% of our remarkable faculty and staff were donors to the College. We are also truly grateful to the 20% of alumni that chose to support the College with a gift. This outstanding support makes an incredible impact on opportunities for our students!

The momentum and excitement on campus continues. Experiential Learning continues to expand, and 70% of our faculty are now nationally certified in experiential education. The faculty continue to develop innovative academic programs. This year we began our third Master’s degree program, a Master of Athletic Training, as well as adding new majors in Early Childhood Education, Middle School Language Arts, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Science, and Business Analytics.

Our students of promise excelled this year with 146 earning a perfect 4.0 GPA. Wildcat Athletics had another great year with 40 NAIA Scholar Athletes and every sports team averaging a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Recently, Culver-Stockton College was recognized as the #1 college or university in Missouri for graduates gaining employment by Zippia, Inc., a California-based national resource website with career information for job seekers.

In preparing for the 2019-2020 academic year, numerous campus improvements were made this summer to enhance residential, classroom and athletic facilities. The Dining Hall and Meaders Lounge were completely renovated, the Schwan Dining Room was created and Stone Hall received all new flooring. The basketball courts in the Charles Field House were resurfaced, the women’s basketball/volleyball locker room was upgraded, all residential rooms in McDonald and Weldon Halls were painted, two classrooms in Johann Memorial Library were completely renovated, and new lights and outdoor security cameras were added.

This is an exciting time in the history of the College, and we welcome you to visit “the Hill” and see what we have worked so diligently to achieve.

Culver-Stockton College seeks to ensure the future, support students annually, educate for life and provide the learning home for students through a comprehensive campaign officially launched in October 2018 with the following goals, nearly $20 million (cash and pledges) has been raised as of June 30, 2019.

The endowment of Culver-Stockton College ensures financial funding for today and the future of the College. Since students are our life-blood, the best way to advance the student experience is through scholarship endowments. An endowment is a self-sustaining fund providing scholarships for students, many of whom are the first in their family to pursue their academic goals through higher education.

A strong endowment allows the College to maintain costs and operational budgets while remaining competitive. More than 90 percent of Culver-Stockton students receive financial aid.

The annual Student Scholarship Fund at Culver-Stockton College supports the scholarship needs of students. Although students receive more than $545,000 from endowed scholarships each year, the gap needed to assist their education is met through the Student Scholarship Fund. The cost to educate students is covered by tuition, endowed scholarships and by annual donor gifts to the Student Scholarship Fund. With the near record number of students enrolled at CulverStockton College the need for scholarship support is even greater.

Academics are at the heart of our mission. Providing students of promise with the needed education for highdemand careers will enhance the student experience. The College offers majors and minors in more than 60 fields. CulverStockton College is committed to offering a challenging and progressive curriculum, rooted in the liberal arts and responsive to market trends and student needs.

Ensuring Culver-Stockton College meets the needs of students in the classroom, the dining facilities, the housing facilities, the sports facilities, the fitness facilities, parking and through advanced technology and sustainability is vital for the campus.

Ensuring the Future $8 million goal

Other ways to support the endowment at Culver-Stockton include permanent funds for faculty development, faculty endowed department and/or division chairs, endowments for buildings and academic programs (including equipment), endowments for athletics and endowments for student travel (both domestic and international).

Our commitment to experiential learning is grounded in the belief that students learn best when they develop knowledge, skills and values from direct experiences outside a traditional academic setting. This energizing curricular feature that faculty and students enthusiastically support helps advance the student experience in many ways.

Funding for the development of a Center for Academic Excellence, a Center for Experiential Learning, development and naming of departments, providing renovated classroom space, providing funding for renovations of the Performing Arts Center and increasing classroom technology will help move the College forward to educate students for life.

Providing the Learning Home $5 million goal

Alumni and others who visit campus become excited to see the improvements made in our facilities. Recent additions and improvements include the Carolyn L. and Robert W. Brown Residence Hall, Stone Residence Hall, the Jo and Scott ’71 Johnson Esports Arena and the Schwan Archway leading into campus. Upgrades were made to locker rooms for men’s basketball, women’s basketball/volleyball and football. Numerous updates were also made to classrooms and residence halls throughout campus.
