Editorial
Chers amis de l’Alliance Française d’Ahmedabad,
Dear friends of Alliance Française d’Ahmedabad,
As we must always be positive, 2020 will have been a hard year, but also beneficial from the point of view of the launching of our online activities. First of all, our courses are available online from everywhere, home, café… with courses from A1 to C1 for all ages from 8 years old, at any time, and even in the middle of the night for Gujaratis expatriates in the world. These courses are carried out through the online platforms but also through our own My Alliance app which offers online educational support for the courses with exercises and a continuous link with the Teacher and the French language.
The culture and the media library have gone online with Tuesday cultural workshops with the French Institute’s Culturethèque, Wednesday Cine club, Thursday with our online tourism desk, Friday the Café Philo and finally Saturday with our French demo class. But above all, I would like to mention the huge success of the November South Asia Digital Art Festival that we created and managed in partnership with 18 Alliance Françaises, the French Institute in Paris and in India and MASA, with nearly 250,000 views on facebook, insta, twitter etc. It is still online on deconfine.org
For 2021, I’ll start with a reminder that our all levels session starts January 4th and in February, besides our courses in Ahmedabad and Baroda we opened also in Surat with our appointed professors there and we also give French language corporate classes. Please note that we will organize in January and March 2 sessions of DELF exams; Feb and April 2 sessions for teenagers DELF Junior, and for Canada, the TEF in February. AF is also the French speaking Tourism Center of our City. PostCovid, our Center inaugurated by the Mayor in NIA near AMC will have our electric Rickshaw to take you with a French speaking guide from our Heritage Center for a half day tour in French to discover our UNESCO City and have Ahmedabad appearing as a top priority spot in the Indian Touristic map for French people and all French speaking travelers.
vous souhaite une excellente année 2021.
Gaël de Kerguenec Directeur / Director
The committee and the entire team of the Alliance Française of Ahmedabad wish you an Happy New Year 2021.
