PROGRAMA CULTURAL DE APOYO AL MIGRANTE El Instituto Estatal de la Cultura de Guanajuato, a travĂŠs del Programa Cultural de Apoyo al Migrante y en coordinaciĂłn con las organizaciones de migrantes guanajuatenses en Estados Unidos, promueve el desarrollo de actividades encaminadas a fortalecer la identidad cultural y el sentido de pertenencia de los migrantes y sus familias, en sus localidades de origen y de destino.

The Cultural State Institute of Guanajuato, through the Cultural Migrant Support Program and in collaboration with the organizations of migrants from Guanajuato in the United States, promotes activities to strengthen the cultural identity and the sense of belonging among migrants and their families, in their local communities and abroad.

Este grupo de teatro se forma en 2002 por iniciativa de Eugenia Cano en la ciudad de Guanajuato. El grupo se constituye con personas de diversas disciplinas lo que propicia la creación de espectáculos multidisciplinarios. La compañía se ha dedicado a buscar un lenguaje propio produciendo espectáculos tanto para adultos como para niños con el apoyo de diversas instituciones. Se ha presentado en diversos festivales y giras tanto en México como en Brasil, Colombia, India, Cuba, Dinamarca y Estados Unidos.

This theater group was formed in 2002 by Eugenia Cano in the city of Guanajuato. The group is integrated by people from diverse disciplines which stimulates the creation of multidisciplinary performances. The company has been dedicated to find its own language producing shows for both adults and children with the support of various institutions. It has performed at various festivals and tours both in Mexico and abroad: in Brazil, Colombia, India, Cuba, Denmark and the United States.

“ALAS DE MARIPOSA” “Alas de Mariposa” es la historia de Siranda, una oruga-mariposa que como todas las de su especie tiene que emigrar al norte durante el verano. Pero además, Siranda quiere reunirse con su mamá que tuvo que partir antes de que ella naciera.

Antes de partir va con su abuela, quien le dice las cosas que debe hacer y cómo enfrentar los peligros: “Hace mucho tiempo el viaje al norte no era tan complicado, pero ahora las cosas han cambiado y hay muchos obstáculos que deberás vencer para llegar a tu destino”.

“Alas de mariposa” is the story of Siranda, a caterpillar-butterfly that, like all of its species, has to migrate north during the summer. In addition, Siranda wants to meet with her mother who had to leave before she was born. Before leaving she goes to see her grandmother who tells her what to do and how to face the dangers: "Long ago the trip north was not so complicated, but now things have changed and there are many obstacles that you must overcome to reach your destiny."

“LLUVIA DE LUZ” Pía, la libélula vive cerca de un manantial, rodeado de árboles y flores. En este lugar viven muchos animales, grandes, pequeños, gordos, flacos, peludos y emplumados. Pía y sus amigos salen todas las tardes a jugar, hasta que un día la mamá de Pía le dice que ya no puede seguir juntándose con sus amigos: los animales-adultos se disgustaron porque Pía difunde el gusto por la poesía entre sus amigos y a los adultos no les gusta que sus hijos desperdicien su tiempo en cosas tontas.

Pia, the dragonfly, lives near a spring, surrounded by trees and flowers. Many animals live in this place: large ones and small ones, fatty ones, skinny ones, hairy or feathered ones. Pia and her friends go out every afternoon to play, until one day Pia's mother tells her that she cannot play with her friends any longer: the adults animals just had a fight, Pia spreads the like for poetry among her friends and the parents are upset because they don´t like their children to waste their time with foolish things.

Myrna es una clown, cuentacuentos, actriz, cantante de regadera, una niña adulta y una adulta decidida a jugar por siempre. Con una trayectoria artística de 20 años en los cuales se ha presentado en diversos festivales nacionales e internacionales en México, Cuba, Estados Unidos, Francia y hasta en los más recónditos ranchitos, Myrna se ha esforzado por llegar a todo tipo de público. Le han sido otorgados becas, premios y reconocimientos por su trabajo artístico. Haciendo comedia con las cosas más sencillas, Myrna nos sorprenderá con su talento e imaginación.

Myrna is a clown, storyteller, actress, singer, a grown up child and an adult determined to play forever. With a career of 20 years in which she has performed at various national and international festivals in Mexico, Cuba, United States, France and in the most remote little towns, Myrna tries to reach all kind of audiences.

She has received scholarships, awards and recognitions for her artistic work. Making comedy with the simplest things, Myrna will surprise us with her talent and imagination.

“UN MUNDO DE UN CLOWNTANTE” Este Clown de carita mugrosa y ropita desgarrada inspira gran ternura con su carita tristona, que a la vez es un contraste ante la comicidad de su actuación, provocando risas al espectador y robando un pedacito de su corazón. La historia comienza cuando una clown-vagabunda, traviesa y juguetona, se encuentra con una maleta: al abrirla va descubriendo su contenido... Cada cosa que saca de la maleta es un sorprendente juego de ocurrencias e imaginación. Descubre que todos los objetos son propios de una cantante de ópera y comienza inocentemente a jugar a ser la gran diva cantante.

This Clown with a dirty face and torn clothing inspires great tenderness with his sad face, which at the same time is a contrast to the comedy of his performance, causing laughter to the viewer and stealing a bit of his heart. The story begins when a clown-vagabond, mischievous and playful, meets a suitcase: when she opens it, she discovers its contents ... Everything she takes out of from the suitcase is a surprising game of occurrences and imagination. Discover that all the objects are typical of an opera singer and innocently begins to play to be the great singer diva.

Abogada de profesión, con una maestría en Desarrollo Humano para la Educación, pero el título que más le gusta es el que algunos niños le han otorgado y lo repiten cuando la encuentran por las calles, “Mira la Señora de los cuentos”. Ha tenido la oportunidad de llevar su voz a varios festivales internacionales de narración oral y otras manifestaciones de la lengua, orgullosa de llevar en la sangre las historias de su tierra mexicana.

Desde hace más de 15 años se dedica a crear espacios para que los habiten las palabras y en los últimos 9 años ha dejado la docencia para dedicarse sólo a contar cuentos. Estos han sido los más maravillosos, pues no hay día en que no reciba un regalo, una sonrisa, un brinco de sobresalto por un cuento de miedo, o hasta un grito escapado de una garganta saltarina, una mirada agradecida, en este encuentro con los otros al contar cuentos, para hacernos cosquillas en el alma.

Lawyer by profession, with a master's degree in Human Development for Education, but the title she likes the most is the one some children have given her and repeat when they find her on the streets, "Look, the Lady of the stories”. She has had the opportunity to take her voice to several international festivals dedicated to storytelling and other language manifestations, proud of carrying the stories of the Mexican culture in her veins.

For over 15 years she has created spaces where the words can come to life and since 9 years she gave up teaching to dedicate herself only to tell stories. These years have been the most wonderful, because every day she receives a gift, a smile, a frightened jump or even a scream because of a story of fear, a grateful look, during this encounter with others while telling stories that tickle our soul.

Es un grupo consolidado con más de 20 años de trabajo ininterrumpido, integrado por Laura Madrid y Oscar Garduño. A la fecha han realizado más de 20 obras teatrales, musicales y cuentacuentos.

Su principal característica es crear teatro formativo y comprometido, es decir propositivo, reflexivo y cuestionador, pero sin olvidar la diversión y el juego. Han trabajado en diferentes ámbitos tanto privados como de gobierno, en el país como en el extranjero.

Integrated by Laura Carmen Madrid y Oscar Garduño, this group has been working continuously for more than 16 years. It has performed more than 20 plays, musicals and storytelling. Its main feature is to create formative and committed theater, that is purposeful, reflective and questioning, but without forgetting the fun and play. They have worked in different areas both private and governmental, in Mexico and abroad.

“SUEÑOS RODANTES” Es un espectáculo muy divertido e interactivo que mueve a la participación con el público y nos lleva a reflexionar sobre la situación de nuestro mundo y los valores humanos. Una obra llena de imaginación que a través de la música en vivo, los muñecos y la actuación nos transporta en un viaje fantástico, a través de casas y castillos embrujados, personajes reales e imaginarios de nuestro México: niños que han perdido sus colores, un burro que no quiere caminar, casas invisibles, un gato con tres pelos, un perro neurótico y mucho, mucho más.

It's a funny interactive show that moves to participation with the public and leads us to reflect on the state of our world and human values. A work full of imagination that through live music, puppets and acting takes us on a fantastic journey through haunted houses and castles, real and imaginary characters of our Mexico: children who have lost their colors, a donkey that doesn’t want to walk, invisible houses, a cat with three hairs, a neurotic dog and much, much more.

CORNISA 20 “El regalo misterioso”

La agrupación teatral Cornisa 20 tiene su sede en San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. Se fundó en 1992 y está conformada por artistas de distintas formaciones teatrales, bajo la dirección de Roberto Avendaño y coordinación de Sandra Moreno. Su trabajo teatral incluye técnicas variadas como acrobacia, clown, danza, títeres, zancos, mojigangas, etc. Cornisa 20 se ha presentado en múltiples ocasiones en diversos foros, ferias y festivales, en México y en el extranjero.

Cornisa 20 is headquartered in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. The drama group was founded in 1992 and unites artists with different backgrounds, under the direction of Roberto Avendaño and coordination of Sandra Moreno. Their work includes various techniques such as acrobatics, clown, dancing, puppets, stilts and giant puppets. Cornisa 20 has participated in numerous fairs and festivals, in Mexico and abroad.

“El regalo misterioso” Alex recibe por paquetería un extraño paquete, al abrirlo descubre un muñeco que, para armarlo, necesitará de distintos elementos como accesorios, ropa y música. ¿cómo le quedará? Espectáculo sin texto para toda la familia.

Alex receives a strange parcel package, when he opens it he discovers a doll that, to put it together, he will need different elements such as accessories, clothes and music. How will it fit? Show without text for the whole family.

Desde el 2004, Moebius Entretenimiento ha estado creando incesantemente diversos espectáculos en donde conjuga el teatro educativo y propuestas de entretenimiento. Sus integrantes, Celia Garza y Julio Castillo, se han formado en la técnica clown, las artes circenses, la comedia, la pantomima, la máscara y el teatro de títeres. Trabajan como actores, autores y maestros de teatro.

Since 2004, Moebius Entretenimiento has been continuously creating various shows in which they combine educational theater and entertainment. Its members, Celia Garza and Julio Castillo, have been trained in clown techniques, circus arts, comedy, pantomime, the use of masks and puppetry theater. They work as actors, authors and teachers.

“PATITO FEO” Patito Feo es sometido todo el tiempo a burlas por parte de Gorila, no lo deja en paz, hasta que algo sucede que cambia el destino de ambos para bien. Una divertida pieza que nos hace reflexionar sobre el perdón y la capacidad de amar para sanar heridas. Apta para todo público.

Patito Feo is subjected all the time to ridicule by Gorila, he does not leave him alone, until something happens that changes the destiny of both for good. A fun piece that makes us reflect on forgiveness and the ability to love in order to heal wounds. Suitable for all public.

Este grupo se conforma en el 2006, cuando sus integrantes deciden reunirse para abordar el teatro desde esta perspectiva: “Alterar”, ya que consideran que el teatro que no logra modificar el estado del espectador, no sirve de nada. Sus integrantes han participado en diferentes festivales a nivel nacional y el grupo poco a poco va formando su propio camino. En los últimos años se ha enfocado a trabajos infantiles apoyados con la técnica del títere guiñol y han participado en diversos encuentros de teatro realizados en varias ciudades del país.

This theater group was formed in 2006 when its members decide to approach theater from this perspective: "to alter", because they believe that theater that doesn’t change the state of the spectator, is useless. Its members have participated in various festivals nationwide and the group gradually is forming its own path. In recent years they have focused on puppet plays for children and have participated in several theater festivals in the country.

“La brujita Cleo” Cleo es una brujita juguetona y distraída, su madre continuamente le llama la atención porque no practica los conjuros propios de las brujas y, en su lugar prefiere jugar en el bosque. Ella desearía no tener que usar su magia para molestar, como lo hacen todas las brujas. Un día mientras jugaba, se encuentra con una princesa que estaba prisionera en un castillo y decide ayudarla. Es un cuento que combina la manipulación de títeres y actuación de una manera muy divertida y con un buen mensaje, que permitirá que todos los niños reflexionen sobre sí mismos y sobre los valores sociales.

Cleo is a playful and distracted little witch. Her mother continuously calls her attention because she does not practice the spells of the other witches and instead, she prefers to play in the woods. She would like not to have to use her magic to annoy, as do all witches. One day while playing, she meets a princess who was imprisoned in a castle and decides to help her. It is a story that combines puppet theater and acting in a very funny way and with a good message, that allows all children to reflect on themselves and on social values.

Es un proyecto encaminado al fomento de la lectura y dirigido a los niños de niveles escolares de primaria y secundaria. Se convoca a los interesados en participar de las bibliotecas de los municipios del estado de Guanajuato. Se capacita a los bibliotecarios en talleres de narración oral quienes, a su vez replican esta capacitación a los niños inscritos para este fin.

Un capacitador profesional cierra los talleres con dos o más sesiones de trabajo con los niños y al final participan en la selección municipal. Los niños ganadores participan en la final regional y los ganadores de esta etapa participan en la final estatal.

It is a project adressed to promote reading and aimed to children at primary and secondary school levels. Those interested in participating in the libraries of the municipalities of the state of Guanajuato are invited. Librarians are trained in oral storytelling workshops who, in turn, replicate this training to children enrolled for this purpose. A professional trainer closes the workshops with two or more work sessions with the children and finally participate in the municipal selection. The winning children participate in the regional final and the winners of this stage goes to the state final.

Es un colectivo cuyas realizaciones escénicas indagan en las diferentes vertientes de lo humorístico, lo paródico, lo irónico y lo absurdo. Muestra de ello es el repertorio a través del cual han frecuentado la comedia antigua, el vaudeville, la carpa, el cabaret, el musical y sobre todo el café concierto, creando de forma paralela una vertiente hacia el Teatro para niños y los espectáculos de calle, arribando así a sus primeros 12 años de existencia.

It is a collective whose scenic realizations investigates the different aspects of the humorous, the parody, the ironic and the absurd. A sample of this is the repertoire through which they have frequented the old comedy, the caudeville, la carpa, the cabaret, the musical and especially the café concierto. Creating in parallel a slope towards the Theater for children and the street shows, arriving thus to its first 12 years of existence.
