INTRODUCING OUR NEW LOGO

We are delighted to introduce and be able to share with you our new logo.

Our new logo

The new logo has been designed to truly reflect our business aspirations as a modern, dynamic, and progressive firm. The use of a modern typographic style along with all lower-case lettering results in a contemporary corporate identity.

Additionally, we are more than a legal practice, we offer both legal and financial services. As such the new logo reflects this by dropping the word “solicitors” and introducing the “Legal | Financial” supporting copy.

Roll out

Our new logo will start to appear across our marketing collateral over the coming weeks including signage at out new offices, as well as across our print and digital channels. The new logo will also appear on the Chester Rugby Club shirts following an extension of our current sponsorship agreement.

As an organisation we are very proud of our long-established history and heritage, however we are driven by our passion to move forward and constantly evolve.

THE EXPERIENCE THAT LETS YOU BE A TOURIST IN YOUR OWN CITY!

Since 2018, locals and visitors to the city have been enjoying The Taste of Chester Food Walking Tour

Founded by Gareth Boyd (a local business man and keen foodie), the tour allow guests to enjoy food/drink at 5 different independent ‘off the beaten track’ venues and lean more about Chester.

“About 15 years ago when visiting NYC on a family holiday, I booked a Food Tour in Greenwich Village and I was hooked! Tasting new and stunning foods that I might not have been brave enough to try was exciting! It’s the perfect experience for any foodie. Since, this NYC tour, I’ve enjoyed many more across the globe. I always recommend

joining a food tour at the start of your city break, because then you’ll have more time to go back and enjoy the venues that your tour guide has showcased”.

“It’s a privilege to be able to showcase Chester and its many fabulous independent food and drink venues’ says Gareth. ‘Guests should definitely arrive hungry as there is plenty of food to enjoy! It’s also a mystery tour experience with venues being revealed one by one during the tour. It’s a great job for me, having to taste amazing food across the city to ensure my guests have the best experience!”

Group sizes vary from 2 -12, and private tours (even larger groups) can be arranged for various occasions such as birthday celebrations, get togethers, team building etc. The tour lasts approx 3-5-4 hours with easy paced walking (c2 miles). It’s perfect for any ages, even families with young children (Gareth offers The Family Foodie Tour) Dietary requirements and allergies are catered for.

Chester’s food and drink scene is in such a rich vein of form currently and there is a diverse melting pot of food from all around the world to sample and enjoy. During the Taste of Chester Food Tour, guests enjoy a range of savoury foods and there is normally at least 1 sweet course.

But it’s not just about the food and drink. During the tour, guests are treated to cultural insight and history about historic Chester. “When I first started the tours, I was concerned that my local guests would know everything about their city but the truth is that we don’t - often, we don’t look up and around, or stop to take in landmarks etc”

The Taste of Chester Food Tour is multi-award winning and was recently awarded Experience of The Year, at the Marketing Cheshire Awards. Guest feedback is continually 5* and providing fantastic 1st class guest experience is a core mission/value.

BUILDING A LEGACY: THE GROWTH OF CHESTER RUGBY CLUB’S GIRLS’ RUGBY

“The girls’ section at Chester Rugby Club now boasts around 130 players, ranging from under 12s to senior women.”

Chester Rugby Club has a rich history, dating back to the 1920s. However, it was not until 12 years ago that the club started its women’s team. Since then, the team has gone from strength to strength, clocking up a proud 12-year run. It has been a long journey, and the growth of the women’s game at the club has not been an overnight success.

In the beginning, there were only a handful of girls playing in mixed age groups. However, six years ago, the club started a girls’ section, and slowly but surely, the numbers started to grow. It took a lot of hard work and dedication from the coaches, parents, and players to build the section, but the effort has paid off.

The girls’ section at Chester Rugby Club now boasts around 130 players, ranging from under 12s to senior women. The section offers a mixed rugby option for girls aged 5-10, as well as a girls-only option. The under 12s have just started their first season, and the older teams are going from strength to strength. The girls train regularly throughout the week, with the mini girls training on Sundays from 9-10 am. The training sessions consist of fun games to help the girls develop their skills and confidence and introduce them to rugby. The older teams train on Thursdays and Sundays, and they play standalone matches against other clubs as well as attending Pitch up and Play events across the county.

The under 16s played in the National Girls’ Under 16s Cup competition this year, winning their pool. However, they bowed out in the Last 16 of the competition after being defeated by a strong Liverpool St Helens side. It was still a proud moment for the girls, as they scored the most points of any club that has battled with LSH this season. The Devas also had a notable fixture, beating Vagabonds away. It was a tough match, and the girls had to leave home at 4am to play on the Isle of Man. However, a last-minute penalty kicked over by the captain saw the Devas take the win.

12 www.cullimoredutton.co.uk

Playing rugby has numerous benefits, and the girls at Chester Rugby Club have experienced them first hand. Rugby builds self-esteem and helps girls grow in confidence. It teaches them that there is a position for everyone, regardless of size, level of fitness or rugby knowledge. Rugby also builds friendships and a support network, and helps girls build resilience. Win or lose, lessons are always being learnt, and rugby empowers girls.

The growth of the girls’ game at Chester Rugby Club would not be possible without the key driving forces behind it. The coaches, managers, and parents have all played a crucial role in building the section and supporting the girls.

in particular, is always ready to take on any task, and the coaches are constantly looking for new ways to keep things fresh in training and drive engagement during their sessions. The players themselves are amazing, taking on every challenge set before them. Finally, the parents are reliable and willing to go that extra mile to ensure their girls get every opportunity available to them.

The girls at Chester Rugby Club have not gone unnoticed, and many have received representative honours. Fourteen of the under 18s were selected to play for Cheshire RFU, and eight players are in the Sale Sharks Centre of Excellence. Three players have recently gained international caps with Wales under 18s.
