樂曲介紹 混聲合唱曲《路人》(2012) 發表後幸運地獲得不少迴響，很多合唱團也在演出或比賽中演唱。 有人問我會不會把《路人》改編成女聲或男聲版本，我也躍躍欲試，只是一直未有動力落筆。 2017年，某次綵排在後台百無聊賴，心血來潮拿出電腦，決定著手改編女聲版本，獻給劉迪 恩老師帶領的瑪利曼中學合唱團−−我是該團的聲樂指導好一段時間，一直敬佩劉老師出 的 領導與合唱團卓越的水準。編曲時一直擔心沒有男聲支持下，原曲的和聲色彩與感覺在實際演 出會變得單薄，然而劉老師與同學的演出把我的疑慮一掃而空。很多細節 們都做得非常到 位，足與我跟演藝合唱團的混聲版演出分庭抗禮！那一年 們在香港學校音樂節及意大利圭 多．達雷澤國際合唱大賽把《路人》(2012/2017) 用作比賽曲目，更在意大利的比賽贏得五 項大獎，實在與有榮焉，也為 們高興。
譚天樂（作曲） 畢業於倫敦皇家音樂學院之歌劇課程及香港演藝學院，身兼歌唱家、合唱指揮及作曲家。譚氏 曾在世界各地不少舞台製作中擔任要角，演出超過三十個歌劇角色 。2015年在 「譜Teen同 唱 - 萬人音樂會」中擔任合唱總監，由近萬位青年參與合唱貝多芬《第九交響曲》之《歡樂 頌》打破健力士世界紀錄。2016年被委任為「香港國際無伴奏合唱節」的藝術總監。譚氏亦 參與不少本地流行音樂編曲、作曲、現場演奏及和音工作，以及為香港管弦樂團及香港小交響 樂團擔任管弦樂編曲。譚氏獲英國皇家音樂學院頒發 ARAM 榮銜，以表揚他在音樂領域上的 貢獻。2018年獲香港音樂及舞蹈聯會頒發「傑出音樂家大獎」。他現為香港歌劇院合唱團總 監、艾莉亞音樂學院院長、香港演藝學院合唱團指揮及聲樂導師。
徐訏（詩人） 徐訏本名徐傳琮，字伯訏，1908年生於浙江。1931年於北京大學哲學系學士畢業，後轉至 心理學系攻讀碩士。大學時期已發表短 小說《煙圈》，1934年於上海擔任《人間世》月刊 編輯。1936年赴法留學，一年後抗日戰爭爆發回到上海。1937年以中 小說《鬼戀》成 名。「孤島時期」在上海辦報刊和創作，是當時滬上最多產的作家。1942年赴重慶執教中央 大學，翌年其作品《風蕭蕭》榮登大後方暢銷書榜首。1950年赴香港定居，先後在新加坡、 香港多所大學任教，曾擔任香港中文大學教授、香港浸會學院文學院院長兼中文系主任等職。 1980年於香港去世。(摘自《維基百科》）

Programme Notes A Stranger (2012) was very well received after the premiere of the original SATB version in 2012. Many choirs programmed this piece for concerts or competitions. I received a number of requests of making versions for female or male chorus, but I only have the impetus to make it in a day in 2017 when I was bored in a rehearsal, and started making the arrangement on my laptop which happened to be with me in the venue. I dedicate this version of A Stranger (2012/2017) to Ms Jane Lau, a highly-accomplished choral conductor of the Marymount Secondary School Choir. The process of making this female choir version was not without hesitation, as I was very concerned whether the lack of the male voices will reduce the work's original harmonic colour. However, the performance by the Marymount Choir soon swept away all my worries. Jane even chose this piece to perform at the International Polyphonic Competition “Guido D’Arezzo” in Italy, and the Choir won five top prizes.
Alex Tam (composer) Graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), Alex Tam is an opera singer, choral conductor and composer. He took leading roles in many stage productions worldwide, including over 30 operatic roles. Alex was the Chorus Master of the Guinness World Record-breaking event, ODE TO JOY Concert of Ten Thousand in 2015, and was appointed Artistic Director of the Hong Kong International A Cappella Festival in 2016. He is also active in the pop music field, composing and arranging for numerous artists, and making orchestral arrangements for Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Alex received the ARAM award from the Royal Academy of Music for his significant contribution in the music field. In 2018, he received the Outstanding Musician Award from the Hong Kong Music and Dance Association. Alex Tam is currently the Chorus Director of Opera Hong Kong, choir conductor and voice teacher at the HKAPA, as well as founder of the Aria Academy of Music.
Xu Xu (poet) Xu Xu was born in Zhejiang, China in 1908. Graduated from the Department of Philosophy of Peking University in 1931, he soon pursued his Master studies at the Department of Psychology, at that time he already wrote a novelette Smoke. In 1934, he was an editor of a literary magazine in Shanghai. He went to France in 1936 for further studies but soon returned to Shanghai at the time of Sino-Japanese War. The 1937 novel The Love Of A Ghost made his fame in the literary circle. During the wartime period he stayed in Shanghai as an active writer and publisher of literary magazines. From 1942, he taught in the National Central University which was then moved to Chongqing, till he relocated to Hong Kong in 1950. In this period his novel Whistling wind was the bestseller. Since he moved out of China, Xu taught in various universities in Singapore and Hong Kong, including The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University.
