Moderator Geena Clonan Ms. Clonan is Founding President of the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, the state's premiere women’s history vault. She has spent over 30 years promoting equality through education. No longer just a feminist, but an ecofeminist; she acknowledges that her children and grandchildren are the very best reasons to confront gender equity and the climate crisis. She hopes you’ll join her.

Generations Panelists Boomer Dr. Elsa M. Núñez is the President of Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU). Under her leadership, ECSU received a Gold rating by the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System and was Gold-rated by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.

Dr. Nunez is committed to the role of higher education in sustainability and climate action.

GEN x Dr. Anji Seth is a Professor of Climate Science and Climate History and Interim Head in the Department of Geography and chairs the Atmospheric Sciences Group at the University of Connecticut. Anji is exploring the climate problem from an integrative geographic perspective that recognizes humans as essential players. She recently led an assessment of climate change for Connecticut.

Millennial Caroline Simmons was elected the Mayor of Stamford, Connecticut in 2021. Mayor Simmons is prioritizing policies to make Stamford a more sustainable and resilient community. She launched the Mayor’s Climate Council for sustainability-related projects and initiatives.

Under her direction, the city has launched its first greenhouse gas inventory.

Gen Z Katharine "Kat" Morris is a rad scholar-activist for intersectional environmental justice with a Master of Public Policy from UCONN. Her TEDx UConn talk, How to Collaborate for Environmental Justice, is a call to action on environmental racism, health inequities, and how to organize communities using radical love and intersectionality.

Vote and Voice: Talk about climate. Vote the people and policies for action.

Recycle, Repurpose, Reuse: Reduce your carbon footprint. .

Stop Single Use Plastics: Straws, stirrers, bottles, bags, packaging.

Reduce Energy: Unplug, turn off, go solar, embrace energy efficiency.

The 2-Degree Policy: Set your thermostat down 2 degrees for heat and up 2 degrees for air conditioning. Big and easy energy savings.

Fly Less: Bus, bike and walk more.

Rediscover Nature: Relive the woods, shores, mountains, and gardens. Plant trees and native species. You'll feel closer and more invested to the earth.

Cut Water Waste: Shower less and shorter. Tap OFF when cleaning dishes and brushing your teeth. Collect water, decrease garden and lawn use.

Rethink Food: Don't overbuy, throw away less, eat less meat, more vegetables, buy local, and consider composting.

Make Your Money Count: Adopt sustainable banking and investing. Know your stocks and support green companies.

We are a provider of innovative educational programs and tools that motivate women and girls to believe in their unlimited potential. Our 144 Inductees' stories provide an inspirational window into women's history.

Educational Progamming "See it, Be it" School Programs: We bring the galvanizing stories of our Inductees directly to students in grades 4th-12th. We offer programs on over twenty topics that are aligned with state and national standards.

STEMfems Workshops: We host "STEMfems: Women Transforming Our World" events, energizing middle school girls to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The girls explore the historical impact of women in STEM and participate in hands-on science workshops with professional women in the field.

Community Outreach Talks on the Road: Hear the stories and join the discussion about remarkable Connecticut women at one of our community Talks on the Road. We have eleven Talks to choose from.
