Alumni Spotlights Susan Francois, CSJP, MA '15, Sarah Kohles, OSF, MA'15 Christa Parra, IBVM, MA '16 CTU Alumnae write and edit book on young religious life. Alumni Susan Francois, CSJP, Sarah Kohles, OSF, and Christa Parra, IBVM were all active in creating space for the voices of young women religious through their participation and leadership in Giving Voice, a peer led organization that creates spaces for younger Catholic women religious to give voice to their hopes, dreams, and challenges. These women, with others of a similar age group but diverse backgrounds and congregations, shine a light on issues and concerns about religious life from their varied perspectives. Susan Francois, CSJP serves on the Congregation Leadership Team of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Peace, Sarah Kohles, OSF is a doctoral candidate in Biblical Studies at the Graduate Union of Theological Studies in Berkeley, and co-edited the essay collection, and Christa Parra, IBVM is working with different ministries of the IBVM sisters in Arizona. On September 13, 2018, these three alumni will present a workshop developed from their work and experience at CTU. Registration and more information on the event will be made available in the coming weeks. The text is available through Liturgical Press in English and will be available in Spanish this summer. Copies of the book will also be sold at our CTU event in the fall.

Help CTU Recruit Tom Cook, MA Biblical Ministry '12 and Dannis Matteson, MA '15 Alumni couple help open Retreat and Learning Center in Edgewater EncounterPoint provides a sacred space to encounter spirit, self and others through retreats, days of reflection, collective meals, discussion groups, guest speakers, performances, liturgies and more. Tom and Dannis met at CTU during their studies and have since worked in various ministries together after they married. Prior to founding EncounterPoint, they served as campus ministers at St. Xavier University and founded Hope House, an intentional community in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. Most recently, Tom works at CTU with the Emmaus Formation program. Dannis is working towards her PhD in Ethics at Loyola University Chicago. EncounterPoint is a community that
