CTE SOCIAL MEDIA GOALS ●
●
●
To increase weekly engagement on our social media platforms by 40% over the course of this school year (2021-2022) Baseline numbers to be collected the first two weeks of the school year. Numbers will assessed at the end of the month, beginning September 2022 to chart progress. To encourage and assist all Career and Technical Education centers across the state to have a social media presence. At this time 68% of the centers have at least one social media account. We would like to increase this to 85% or better by the end of this school year. A bi-monthly check in will take place to assess attainment of this goal To increase the number of posts that spotlight the importance of the relationship between our programs and business and industry. The goal is to have at least three posts a month that focus on this area.

Frames for Social Media Posts Please note, these now also include the agency seal.
CTEINSC This is our name on all of our social media platforms.
CTE HASHTAGS These hashtags will be used in each post. 1. #cteinsc 2. #futurereadycte 3. #connectingclassroomstoindustry #cteinsc will be included in ALL posts. Numbers 2 and 3 will be included as space allows on Twitter. If a school district/CTE center is part of the post, they will also be tagged/mentioned. The hashtag #cteinsc has been researched to make sure that it is not associated with any other organizations or any content that would be considered controversial. These hashtags have been shared with the districts and career centers that have social media accounts. They have been asked to use them in their posts along with their own hashtags.
THEME DAY HASHTAGS #WorkBasedLearningWednesday or #WBLWednesday Each week there will be posts focusing on Work Based Learning. Engagement in this area is one of our identified goals for this school year. These posts and/or stories will also be added to the story highlights on Instagram.
#CTEFactFriday This hashtag will be used to highlight key pieces of data that apply to Career and Technical Education. Sources will be our own department data - verified and supplied by our data team, ACTE cited data, US Department of Education cited data and Advanced CTE cited data. An outline or solid fill shape of the state will be used with state related numbers for visual interest. See example below.
#MakingADifferenceMonday This will be an occasionally occurring post, where we focus on an award winning CTE teacher, director or other related position. This would be started by doing a deeper dive with our EBS adult award winner and Katrina Haynes, an ACTE Teacher of the Year. #CTSOTuesday This will be a once to twice a month post, focusing on the different Career and Technical Student organizations. The posts will highlight what each organization does and the advantages of belonging to one. We have at least one student this year who is holding a national level position in one of these groups. A student* spotlight would be a great post.
