INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS (BUS) :

All commercial activities that take place across national boundaries. This includes the movement of goods from one country to another (exporting, importing, trade); the development of operations, sales, manufacturing, research and development and distribution facilities in foreign markets and the contractual agreements (intellectual property, licensing, franchising, etc) that allow for the exchange of resources across national borders. The development of infrastructure to support the organization’s processes.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS REQUIRES AN EXPERIENTIAL COMPONENT – STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOUBLE MAJOR OR ADD MINORS FOR DEPTH OF KNOWLEDGE IN A SPECIFIC BUSINESS FUNCTION.

Earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in International Business demonstrates that you have an understanding of the political, cultural and regulatory environments that shape international business and trade that can be applied to any size organization. The International Business major requires an experiential component as part of the major and many students are encouraged to double major or add minors for depth of knowledge.

Nyamweru was born and raised in Tanzania , a country in east Africa. She graduated from Cleveland Central Catholic High School in 2019. While at Cleveland State University, Nyamweru was a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Beta Gamma Sigma (the business honor’s fraternity) and the Student Government Association. She also served as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Director of Sustainability for the TRIO program which provides special services to first-generation college students.
