Alaudidae are a family of ground-dwelling songbirds. Most Larks including meadowlarks and skylarks fall into this category.
This short duet for Grade 3 performers was composed for the twins of a childhood friend. Light and lyrical, the piece is perfect for recitals.
- Christina Rusnak 2019The tempo may be challenging for younger performers. Originally the piece was written for a tempo of 72 for dotted quarter. So feel free to bring it down to that if needed.
There are few designated rests and breath marks. Take breaths at natural points of change, but stagger between parts.
