Spotlighting the challenges unique to women in military service

U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Sevin Balkuvvar, Peterson-Schriever Garrison command chief, welcomes participants and presenters to the P-S Garrison Women’s Leadership Symposium including International Transgender Visibility Day on March 31, 2022, at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. The symposium spotlit the challenges unique to women in military service with a day of breakout sessions and panel discussions from officers, enlisted, spouses and members of the LGBTQ community. Balkuvvar shared some of the unique challenges she has faced over the course of her career as an Airman and a mom in a dual-military marriage.
