Remember the Fallen Alethea Smock 21st Space Wing Public Affairs
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. —This Memorial Day, take a moment to remember the fallen. The 21st Space Wing has suffered three losses in its short history including Airman 1st Class Matthew Seidler, Capt. David Lyon and Staff Sgt. Austin Bieren. We are deeply saddened to have lost these three Airmen in the line of duty. In this week’s Space Observer you will find an American flag on the center page. Take this flag and hang it outside your cube, work area or in your office window as a show of support of their sacrifice. Our solidarity is what keeps the United States Air Force the most powerful Air Force in the world. On Memorial Day, please honor those who have given all. Thank those who continue to serve in harm’s way. Hug the families who have lost loved ones. And think of those who were never able to make it home. We are all forever privileged to be a part of this great nation.
