The Palmer Farm is a productive dryland farm currently in an excellent state of cultivation.
The terrain varies from nearly level to gently sloping. Terraces have been constructed throughout the property to help manage runoff water. Slopes range from 0-3%, with approximately 67% of the farm having slopes that range from 0-1% and 33% of the farm having slopes that range from 1-3%.
The soil quality found on this tract is good, with the only soils found being Amarillo fine sandy loam and Acuff loam. Both are the more productive soil types found in Lynn County.
