Dear Friends, This past year at Child Saving Institute has been one of extraordinary growth, transformation and meaningful progress. Because of your support, 2025 marked a pivotal chapter in our story— one that expanded our reach, strengthened our impact and laid the foundation for even greater outcomes in the years ahead.

In July, we began welcoming children and families into newly renovated spaces on our Mary Holland campus in Omaha, expanding access to early childhood education and opening a dedicated behavioral health center. Shortly after, we proudly merged with Children’s Square, extending our services into Southwest Iowa and deepening our ability to meet families where they are. By December, with the full opening of our campus, we significantly increased our capacity to serve— and our responsibility to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes for every child and family we reach.

At the same time, 2025 was about more than growth in numbers. It was a year of thoughtful integration—bringing together new programs, teams and systems to create a more connected continuum of care. From launching new behavioral health services to integrating Children’s Square programs, our teams worked diligently to ensure that expansion was matched by quality, coordination and a shared commitment to excellence.

As you read this report, you will see both the scale of what we have achieved together and the strength of the foundation we are building for the future. You will meet children and families whose lives are changing because of access to care, the dedication of our staff and the generosity of a community that believes every child deserves safety, stability and hope.

This strategic merger brought together centuries of experience, deep community roots and a shared commitment to compassionate, highquality care. By combining resources and expertise, CSI is now positioned to serve more families and respond more effectively to complex needs. This expanded network strengthens CSI’s ability to provide timely support, improve outcomes and ensure no child or family faces challenges alone.

Children’s Square officially began in 1882, when Rev. J.G. Lemen in Council Bluffs responded to families in crisis following a devastating flood. Lemen was able to garner community support for children facing abandonment and hardship. Over time, the organization grew into a regional leader in trauma-informed mental health care, education and longterm stability, supporting children from infancy through young adulthood.

Both organizations have built a legacy of compassion, hope and service. Today, that legacy is stronger than ever and continues through a shared commitment to improving the lives of children and families across Iowa and Nebraska.

A Place of Hope

Celebrating the Progress of Our Capital Expansion Project

I

n the summer of 2025, Child Saving Institute (CSI) completed our Campaign for Hope, raising $46 million. With the unwavering generosity of our donors and supporters fueling this capital project, we expanded service access at our campus in the heart of Omaha.

In July, we opened our doors to the newly expanded and renovated facilities, welcoming children and families into spaces designed with healing, growth and dignity at their core. By the fall of 2025, we celebrated the completion of Campaign for Hope with a ribbon cutting ceremony and an open house. Over 300 members of the community showed up to celebrate the growth of our vital services.

is more than just space. It means more children receive the early developmental support they need to thrive.

Before the capital campaign, CSI’s youth emergency shelter had limited space and few amenities to support the full scope of a young person’s needs. Now, the shelter offers more than just safety, but dignity. In the shelter, each youth now has their own bedroom. The expansion also brought a commercial kitchen, half-court gym, fitness area and a dedicated classroom space. It’s more than a place to stay; it’s a place to heal, find stability and imagine a bright future.

This capital expansion project has dramatically enhanced our ability to serve children and families across our programs.

The new Behavioral Health Center is a dedicated space where children, teens and young adults can access compassionate care in an environment built for healing. With room to grow our team of licensed therapists, we’re able to meet the rising demand for services. More than 1,100 children and families received therapy and medication support services in 2025; an increase in access to care made this possible.

The A.W. Clark Child Development Center received four additional classrooms and a 25% increase in capacity. This expansion
